For the past five years, I have been enduring an ongoing battle with skin cancer (melanoma).
Two years ago, the cancer began to regenerate, and since then I have undergone 15 surgeries in just 15 months. My body is still healing and recovering from everything it has endured physically, emotionally, mentally, as well as financially.
Despite these challenges, I have continued trying to rebuild my life with faith, hope, and determination.
Since July, I have been doing everything I can to regain stability while recovering from cancer and multiple surgeries. I filed for Disability in January due to my health condition and limitations, but the process is still pending, leaving me with little financial support while I continue healing.
Unfortunately, I am now facing another devastating challenge: the loss of my home.
Last month, my landlord refused to allow a reasonable accommodation for me to make a partial payment arrangement while awaiting financial assistance and Disability support. Their attorneys have now begun the eviction process, placing me at risk of displacement during one of the most vulnerable seasons of my life.
Losing my home would not only leave me without stability during recovery, but it would also take away my ability to continue rebuilding my livelihood.
I have always been a driven and creative person, and over time I became a serial entrepreneur, building multiple businesses throughout my life. In recent years, my focus shifted from building and creating to surviving, healing, and trying to regain stability. I am now working toward rebuilding my life again, one step at a time, with the hope of returning to the work and purpose that has always been a part of who I am.
I am also caring for my two beloved ESA companions, Atlas and Ginger, who have been part of my emotional healing journey through all of this. Atlas was once paralyzed, and I personally nursed him back to walking again. Ginger is currently struggling with medical issues of her own, but due to financial hardship I have been unable to afford the veterinary care she needs.
I do not have family, a partner, or a support system to rely on, and I am facing this entirely on my own.
With very limited support, I am humbly asking for help during this difficult season.
Funds raised will help with:
-Preventing homelessness and maintaining safe housing
-Essential living expenses during cancer recovery
-Medical and recovery-related needs -Caring for Atlas and Ginger
-Transportation and basic necessities
-Rebuilding stability while I continue healing
This journey has tested me in ways I never imagined, but I continue to hold onto faith, hope, and the belief that healing and rebuilding are still possible.
Every donation, share, prayer, and act of kindness truly means more than words can express.
Thank you for standing with me during this healing journey.
