I was given the opportunity to march with one of the best WGI percussion groups in the world, United Percussion World. <div>On Sunday morning, October 27th, our niece <strong>Molly Mack</strong>, was a passenger involved in a devastating car accident, and now we’re doing all we can to help her recover and reclaim her future. Just days removed from her 18th birthday, with her whole life ahead of her, she now faces a long, challenging journey of healing and recovery.

<div>Molly is a bright, spirited young women with a passion for soccer, a true leader on and off the field. She was looking forward to finishing her senior year as Captain of the Whippany Park Girls Soccer Team and moving onto the next chapter in her life, continuing her playing career next Fall at High Point University in North Carolina.

<div>Her resilience has been inspiring, and through this difficult time, her strength has amazed us all.
</div>

<div>The accident left Molly with multiple fractures in her neck, swelling of the spine, broken ribs, a collapsed lung and a broken arm. She survived and endured a spinal fusion surgery earlier this week to relieve pressure on her spine and stabilize her neck. While we are grateful she is still with us, the road to recovery is a long one with countless therapy sessions, medical appointments, and possibly more surgeries along the way.

<div>The mounting medical bills will surely be overwhelming, and she’ll be facing expenses that insurance doesn’t fully cover. From surgeries, to physical therapy, medical equipment and unexpected travel costs, the financial burden will become too much to bear alone. We are humbly asking for your help to give Molly the best chance at a full recovery.

<div><strong>Strength in Family: Support the Schmidts' Journey Through Leukemia Relapse &amp; Bone Marrow Transplant</strong>

<div>Dear family and friends,

<div>We are asking for your support for the Schmidt family as they face some of the hardest days of their lives. In June 2024, during what was supposed to be a routine check-up, Andrew, their 21-year-old son, received devastating news—his leukemia had relapsed, just one year after being declared in remission following two and a half years of intense treatment.

<div>Andrew’s initial diagnosis of pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) came in February 2021, when he was only 17. Through years of treatment, he fought with resilience, leaning on his faith and the love of his family to see him through. When his treatment at CHOP ended, Andrew and his family had finally begun to rebuild their lives, believing the hardest days of chemotherapy, lumbar punctures, etc were behind them.

<div>Andrew, who is the picture of health—physically fit, a dedicated healthy eater, and an avid exerciser—was blindsided by this relapse, and so was his family. But as devastating as this setback is, the Schmidts are not giving up hope.
</div>

<div>In a beautiful act of brotherly love, Andrew’s younger brother, Kameron has been confirmed as a 100% match and will be donating his bone marrow in early October to help save Andrew’s life. While this gives them hope for a brighter future, the road ahead will be long and difficult, filled with treatments, life-threatening side effects, hospital stays at CHOP, and the financial burdens that come with both.
