<div>Hi. My name is Ivette Mir. I live in Wisconsin . I’m disabled and trying to escape an abusive relationship. The reason I made this Gofundme is because I cannot access shelter in Ozaukee, Milwaukee or Washington County. I’ve been telling healthcare and mental health providers and Wisconsin Aging and Disability that I’m being financially, verbally and psychologically abused. I receive a very small disability check. My abuser has prevented me from finding work. I have an employment gap of 13 years. I’m trying to raise money for 6 months rent to get a studio Apartment in Milwaukee. They cost between $1,000-1,2000 per month. I want to procure employment within that time. Perhaps even sign up for VOC rehab for job training while I wait for work.

<div>The reason shelters are hard to get into is because Congress reduced federal VOCA (Victims of Crime Act) funding by 40%. I made this Gofundme after calling shelters for almost 2 months. Please help me. I’m having to go to the doctors a lot for toradol injections and pills and ondasteron because the migraines and nausea are so intense. I lose my appetite often and lost some weight. I have a mental health counselor, I told her everything. I told the hospital I was at everything and they still discharged me into an unsafe environment after 3 days. I told them I was scared. They had me call 14 shelters at the hospital. None of them would take me. I’ve been calling Domestic Violence shelters every week. Unfortunately, they are all full. I’m tired of being abused. Cops cannot do anything but issue him a citation for disorderly conduct because he doesn’t hit me. He takes my SSI check from me every month. I wish Aging and Disabilities did something. I wish someone cared. I feel ashamed I have to beg strangers to help me. But I have no other choice.

The homes of many of their families...Nour says that Gaza was the most beautiful place in the world for her...but the occupation destroyed the features of that beautiful Gaza...she wants to be safe with her sister and their children...at times they do not find anything to eat Everything has become expensive... They want to help you get out of Gaza, but that costs a lot... as the price of making a passport per person is 100 dollars, and the price of coordinating the exit from the crossing per person is 3,000 dollars. ...And all of this because of the war, travel has become expensive... Nasra is studying in the field of journalism. She wished to finish her university studies to convey to the world how her people suffer from the occupation... Likewise, Nour’s son was unable to study at the university because of the bad conditions they are suffering from. Nour is a housewife who aspires for her children and her sister’s children to live in good conditions away from wars.

<div>The innocent playing and laughing of children in Gaza has become persistent terror and suffering. Noor and her sister, Nasra, are young mothers with five of these children that are desperately struggling to survive.

<div>Feeling of hopelessness surrounds all of them. But we are not hopeless, if we all take small selfless steps. Together, we can move these families to a secure and peaceful life.
