What they care about

I care about humanity and understanding trauma. @itshassansabbagh everywhere

Bear has really learned to adapt to his new life. The costs to rescue Bear exceeded $3000 and it’s hard to ask for money to help our pet when others are suffering too.
update on Bear’s surgery We had to do an emergency amputation on his front paw in order to prevent it from spreading to his shoulder. I think Bear is going to have a long life with this three paws for now ❤️ We still need help on the GoFundMe, this update was really only a small step forward, as now my life and home are at risk.

Bear is my disabled father’s loyal companion. Anyone who cares for disabled vets knows how much our furry friends mean to them so once Bear was diagnosed we knew immediately to go for the first crucial appointments necessary to save his life.

I’m starting this fundraiser for Bear, our 3-year-old Rottweiler/Mastiff, and for my family, the Sabbaghs, as we try to carry more than we can handle alone. Bear was diagnosed with bone cancer, and next week we are facing a $3,000 treatment bill. Bear is so much more than a pet to us. He is family. He has become a true companion to my father, a disabled U.S. veteran, and I have seen firsthand how much comfort and hope Bear has brought into our home. We have done everything we can to care for him and give him the life he deserves, and the thought of losing him because we cannot afford treatment is heartbreaking. At the same time, our family has been doing everything possible to support our nieces, nephews, and relatives in Lebanon who have been displaced by war and are struggling with homelessness, grief, and urgent medical needs. We already spend more than $750 each month trying to help loved ones survive, and we are exhausted. We never wanted to share our suffering for financial help, but we have reached a point where we cannot do this on our own. Your support will help us cover Bear’s cancer care and continue helping our family members who are facing unimaginable hardship. If you are able to give, please know that every donation, prayer, and share means the world to us. Thank you for standing with Bear and our family, and for giving us hope for healing, comfort, and maybe even a future where Bear can jump and play again.
