Thank you to everyone who donated and shared. I have received the money today and have paid: -My storage unit bill & late fee - $300 between three credit cards that were overdrawn ($200 to discover, $100 each on my 2 capital one cards) -$150 in groceries which will help me eat at least two meals a day including an important one at lunch (I start my part time job again next week in addition to my full time job so I will work from 8am-7pm (m-f) so food is very important mid day) -Paid partial pay on my car insurance bill -$50 in gas to fill my tank from empty - my checking account went from overdrawn and in the negative to positive, which helps prevent more fees I appreciate you all! I truly don’t know what I would do without help right now. I’m forever grateful for what I’ve received so far. Keep sharing! Thank you! Indigo
My name is Indigo (they/them). I have three jobs. I have had four injuries, four emergency medical events, and two surgeries over the past two years. I’ve been beyond struggling with money. I work 7 days a week and am currently on workmen’s compensation for a new injury. I am an autism teacher, and my students need me. I can’t afford food, prescriptions, or my bills. I pet sit on the side and have no free time for my mental health or to relax. I lost my health insurance a year ago due to cuts to social programs. I have around 6 doctors, and I take 7 different medications, not including over-the-counter supplements. I can’t afford anything, and my close friends are constantly trying to help me. They can’t afford to support me, and I don’t have much help from family. I have depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, gender dysphoria, and I still persist every day and go to work. The stress of how much money I owe in debt (40k), along with trying to stay afloat, is too much. It has caused me to feel like I’d be better off dead. I can’t keep living like this. My bills are overdue, and I’ve been hit with almost 1k in late fees and overdraft fees just in the past two months.
Oreo is a wonderful, sweet, and empathetic friend, family member, and cat. He has been with Julia through thick and thin, and they share a very special, close bond. Unfortunately, a few days ago Oreo was having trouble going to the bathroom. His stomach began to appear bloated, and he started throwing up. Julia took him to the emergency vet, and the costs of his medical care are too much to bear. Julia works with children, and so far the medical bills have piled up to $3,100. Oreo underwent blood work and tests and was given medication. He had a catheter placed in him to hopefully help clear the stones that are blocking him from being able to pee. This morning, there was an update that Oreo rested overnight and has been recovering well from his blockage. He still needs this continued supportive care for his treatment. The catheter and bloodwork will continue to be monitored for the next 48 hours. Please consider donating; even $5 helps and adds up. Please also share the donation link. Thank you for your support and caring about our furry friend.
