Arthur (Art) has always been the heart of our family—an active, vibrant 84-year-old who loved working in his wood shop and traveling by car to visit loved ones across multiple states. He and his wife, Peggy, have been together for nearly 53 years, sharing a bond that has only grown stronger through life’s ups and downs. Peggy is not only his partner but also his devoted caretaker, standing by his side every step of the way. In November 2025, our world changed when Art was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. He bravely underwent surgery in December, where doctors removed a grapefruit-sized tumor and 83 lymph nodes. Twelve of those nodes came back cancerous. We hoped for the best, but in late February 2026, we received the devastating news that the cancer had progressed to Stage 4 and metastasized to his stomach and abdomen. Chemotherapy was no longer an option, and the only path forward is immunotherapy—a treatment that comes with a significant financial burden. Art will need immunotherapy treatments every three weeks over the next two years. The total cost is overwhelming for Art and Peggy, who have always given so much to others. Now, they need our help.
