 On Friday, August 14, Jose suffered an unexpected brain aneurysm. Tragically, he never regained consciousness. Throughout this difficult time, our family held onto hope and continued to pray for his recovery. Unfortunately, his condition continued to worsen, and he began losing more and more brain activity.

<div>Gabby and Luana just graduated from High School this past week. They are proven community leaders. First-generation high school graduates and college-bound students. This week should be filled with celebrations, festivities, and family moments, but on June 19, Gabby and LuLu’s mother, Ana Franco Galdamez, was taken captive by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) while she fulfilled her daily employment duties at Home Depot (Hollywood Location). The children are in shock, terror, and heartbroken.

<div>The story of Gabby and Luana’s mother, Ana, is not uncommon. The family is from El Salvador. They escaped imminent danger and violence in their country and came here to the United States. Gabby and LuLu’s older brother, Edwin Rafael, was recently murdered in El Salvador. Still grappling with grief and loss, their mother Ana is now in federal detention facing deportation.

Our family is beyond devastated over the loss of Marlon Ulloa, three months after the loss of my brother-in-law, Jose Ulloa. No one expected such a tragedy one after another.

<p>Marlon Jonathan Ulloa was born in Los Angeles, California June 12, 1996, to a young beautiful mother, Delia Ulloa. As a single mother she devoted her life to only Marlon. Until I met her in the summer of 2000. Marlon was not one to let any man come near her mother, but my charisma and one dollar convince him to let me give a kiss. Since, I was also a single father to Alexito who was only one and a half years older than Marlon, they became best friends, shortly after that they became brothers.
</p>

<p>Marlon was a kind, good hearted person that will go beyond his means to help others. People easily felt comfortable being around him. He would constantly bring stray animals for us to find homes for. Weather it was a cat or a Pitbull we were left with the task to take care of them. He looked out for his friends when they were in need. He would refer youth he would meet that had problems to Homies Unidos for support.
</p>

<p>He was about to graduate from with a HVAC certificate program at UEI College. He was living on his own and working on himself to heal from his mental health issues he was confronting. He had a bright future ahead.
</p>

<p>On Sunday August 29, 2021, Marlon was on his way home when he had an automobile accident in which the car rolled over after hitting two park vehicles in Bellflower. No one else was hurt but the force of the impact took his life. We have yet to find out what exactly happened that morning. But what we do know that a precious life was taken from us that morning that will affect us the rest of our lives.

Funeral Service  for Marlon Ulloa

<p>Ivana's parents and son were in a horrible car accident a couple days ago in Belize. This is a picture of their car after the crash. Ivana's mother and son have multiple broken and fractured bones and both need surgery. (Her father is also badly injured and needs full time care.)

<p>Fortunately, Ivana's son is covered by her Kaiser insurance and will be cared for in a private hospital in Belize. But her mother is in a public hospital that is visited by a doctor only twice a week and she is #12 on the waiting list for surgery. Ivana's family is moving her to a private hospital.  The <em>first </em>surgery will cost $17,500.

Help Ivana Get Medical Care for Her Mother

We were hoping not to have the need to go to  Go-Fund-Me for this, but the work life insurance did not cover death by health issues. Our family is beyond devastated over the loss of Jose "Chema" Ulloa . He was more than a brother-in-law. He was like my brother. We all had different relationships with him, but what we all had in common is that we loved him to no end.<br /><br />Chema was born in San Miguel, El Salvador in 1973, as a young man, he and his older brother were recruited to the military. He was forced to fight a senseless war ending in him being shot. He fled to the United States to make a future for himself and help his family. He became a truck driver and went throughout the United States enjoying the drive to places he had to deliver goods for people. <br /><br />Although, Chema loved his job, it kept him away from his family, Specially his two daughters (19), Andrea and Aranza(6). He would give his daughters everything they wanted and they enjoy every minute he was in town. Being a truck driver is a dangerous job, we always told him to be careful, especially when he was going on long trips. On Wednesday May 19th, he had called Aranza to tell her he would be arriving on Friday and he had plans for her. Andrea graduated from High School and is now going to of Cal State University, Northridge. Two good girls were devastated when they found out their father had a stroke, on Thursday. We are a tight family and will be supporting Andrea and Aranza. But at this point we need the support of our community.<br /><br />Chema had acquire life insurance for the specific reason that his job was dangerous. He wanted to make sure that if he had an accident his daughters would be taken care of. Unfortunately, no one expected that we would have a stroke and the insurance told us Chema did not have coverage for death do to health issues. We though he would make it. His sisters all work in the health industry, and had started planning how to help him recover.  But his brain had suffered too much damage, on Saturday night he went into seizure and was intubated and after another stroke. There was no coming back. The family made the most difficult decision they ever had to do, and it was his wishes that if he ever found himself  in that position, to let him go. He passed away Sunday around 5:15AM. <br /><br />The insurance company said they will not cover one dime. So, we are respectfully requesting your support for his funeral services. My husband has been a product of wrongful arrest and no matter how good we try to do, the system always finds a way to make us fail. My husband is a family man, father not only to our expecring bby girl but my other 2 kids, serves the community alongside me, and just a man who has been robbed from his freedom early in giving them 12yrs of his life and now they want to repeat the story, while he was at his place of work doing what he was doing WORKING! THANK YOU!<br />Jorge Nuñez, luchador incansable por un mundo mejor, con paz y justicia social.  Llegó a los Estados Unidos en los años ochenta, tratando de preservar  su vida de la terrible violencia desatada por el gobierno de su amado El Salvador contra la población civil.  Desde que arribó a California se entregó a lo que era el motor de su vida: la lucha por los oprimidos y  la dignidad del ser humano.  En El Salvador trabajó muy de cerca con San Romero de América el cual,  influyó para siempre su accionar, através de la Teología de la liberación.  Junto a otros compañeros fundó en Los Angeles COSIES (Comité de Solidaridad con la Iglesia en El Salvador).  Fue miembro del Comité de Solidaridad Farabundo Martí de Los Angeles.</strong><br /><br /><strong>En los últimos 20 años, se destacó por su trabajo de servicio social en Los Angeles, California, a travez del Fondo Salvadoreño Americano para el Liderazgo y la Educación (SALEF), como organizador comunitario, promoviendo el voto de los Salvadoreños y  Latinos, y  como miembro activo de la Junta Directiva.  Posteriormente se unió al equipo de trabajo como miembro destacado del Presidente de la Asamblea estatal Fabian Nunez, y posteriormente finalizó su carrera como Asistente del presidente del Senado Estatal Kevin De Leon.  Durante todos estos años, Jorge se dedicó a trabajar incansablemente por los derechos de los inmigrantes y sus familias, incluyendo TPS, los jornaleros y  braceros.  Jorge, nunca dijo no, y su deseo de ayudar siempre estuvo presente,aún en sus últimos días de vida.</strong><br /><br /><strong>Jorge deja un linda y solida familia, su esposa Sonia y cuatro hijos, Damaris, Edwin, Jorge y Marvin.  Su humildad y entrega al trabajo son sus mejores características, su amabilidad y sentido del humor era su boleto de entrada en todos los círculos.  Nos deja un legado que no tiene precio, celebremos su vida y hagamos honor a su memoria continuando la construcción de un mundo mejor.</strong><br /><br /><strong>Por este medio pedimos su apoyo y generosidad para ayudar a su familia a costear los gastos ante la pérdida irreparable de nuestro Jorge.   Agradecemos de antemano sus donaciones. Su apoyo llegarâ directamente a su esposa Sonia y su familia.</strong><br /><br /><strong>Por la paz,</strong><br /><strong>Amigos de Jorge Nuñez</strong><br />******************<br />Jorge Nuñez, tireless fighter for a better world, with peace and social justice.  He came to the United States in the 1980s, fleeing the terrible violence unleashed by the government of his beloved El Salvador against the civilian population.  Since his arrival in California, he gave himself fully to the struggle for the oppressed and the dignity of all human beings.  In El Salvador he worked closely with San Romero de America who influenced his actions forever through Liberation Theology.  Together with other comrades he founded COSIES (Committee in Solidarity with the Church in El Salvador) in Los Angeles.  He was a member of the  Comite Solidaridad Farabundo Martî (Farabundo Martí Solidarity Committee of Los Angeles).<br /><br />For the past 20 years, he has been known for his social service work in Los Angeles, California, through the Salvadoran American Leadership and Educational Fund (SALEF), as a community organizer, promoting the vote of Salvadorans and Latinos, and as an active member of the Board of Directors.  He later became a prominent staff member for State Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez, and subsequently completed his career as Assistant to the  President of the State Senate, Kevin De Leon.  Throughout these years, Jorge dedicated himself to working tirelessly for the rights of immigrants and their families, including TPS holders, day laborers and braceros.  Jorge never said no, and his desire to help was always present, even in his last days.<br /><br />Jorge leaves behind a beautiful and solid family, his wife Sonia, and four children, Damaris, Edwin, Jorge and Marvin.   His humility and dedication to work are his finest characteristics, his kindness and sense of humor were his ticket in all circles.  He leaves us a priceless legacy, let us celebrate his life and honor his memory by continuing to build a better world.<br /><br />Now, we ask for your support and generosity to help his family pay for the expenses in the face of the irreparable loss of our Jorge.   We thank you in advance for your donations. Hello everyone, 
My name is Aileen Alvarez, and I am writing this in behalf of my family because we need some help... today around 2:00 pm We received some of the worst news of our life.... My fathers passing. My father was such a great person that everyone loved and was always smiling around. There was never a dull moment with him, even with strangers he always found a way to say something... Saturday afternoon he started with a stomachache and throw up, and today we took him to the hospital and a hour later we received the news of his passing. The doctors said it was a inflammation in his pancreas, but haven’t told us to much information yet. 
If you can help with anything it will mean so much to us , All these funds are going to my fathers burial and to help my mom and I with anything that needs to be done.

<p>      July 11th 2020 we received the devastating news of my father Santos Barahona passing due to Covid,  after15 days of fighting unfortunately it took his life. He was a very strong hardworking man that always took care of his family. He was a father, a husband, a friend, a protector, and a provider. On Sunday, February 17th family was notified that we had lost Daniel to a fatal shooting in Norwalk, Ca. Danny was 16 years old, he was an uncle to 2 girls and a boy. He was always happy, always there for everyone and making sure people were okay. He had a heart for all his friends and family. He was the youngest of his siblings. His older brother Christopher passed almost 3 years ago, February 2016. Daniel was the baby of the family. Family and friends would call him Dan or Danny. Were at loss for words on losing our baby brother, and weren’t prepared financially for this. Any donations or condolences or even help is greatly appreciated .

About me
