(They changed her name to Hannigan in the play and movie). In essence, this is the story of their relationship. On this journey, there is singing, dancing, drama, and important questions about aging, loneliness and what is...home?

<div>We have set up this Go Fund Me page to help alleviate some of the financial stress  on Lucas’s family, so they are able to be by his side throughout his recovery without the worry of expenses.   
</div>
<div>       Lucas is the second son of Alex and Kim Mouton.  He has 4 siblings, Ethan,  Griffin, Anna Beth and Charlie. He is a 3rd year college student at UL.  He works at Motier in Lafayette and spends his summers working beach chair rentals on 30A in Florida.  His love for golf has grown immensely over the past few years and he plays every chance he gets with friends.  He was  a basketball player all 4 years at STM and continues to play recreationally. He is very active outdoors and loves all sports.

<div>    On Dec 23rd Lucas was in a horrible car accident which left him intubated in a coma in the ICU with TBI (traumatic brain injury). He suffered multiple brain bleeds causing frontal lobe injury/diffuse axonal injury (DAI). He also sustained a fractured jaw and cheekbone.  Lucas underwent successful surgery on Dec  28 to fix his jaw injuries. He remained in ICU for 11 days and is now able to breath on his own with limited speech/communication and impacted  physical abilities. He was moved from ICU to the Neurology floor where he is working towards a transition to neurological rehabilitation at Touro in New Orleans in the coming days. There he will begin working to repair and rebuild the neuro pathways in his brain to regain cognitive and physical skills.

<div>Lucas has a long road to recovery and Alex and Kim want to be by his side as he will need their presence and support.  This account is dedicated to help cover travel, lodging, essentials and other expenses they will incur while splitting time between Lafayette and New Orleans.  
</div>

<div>Ursula Quoyeser, known to many of us as Coach Q, has been diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) also called Lou Gehrig’s disease. Coach Q attended Lafayette High and then went on to play volleyball and softball at the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL) now known as UL of Lafayette. She was the first female athlete inducted into the UL Lafayette Athletic Hall of Fame in 1992.

<div>She has taught and coached for over 35 years in Texas, Florida and Louisiana and led her teams to numerous State High School titles in Louisiana. She helped the Episcopal School of Acadiana set a high school national record, winning 16 consecutive Titles. She has been honored with 8 Louisiana “Coach of the Year” awards and has been inducted into the Louisiana Volleyball Coaches “Hall of Fame.” Coach Q has spent her adult life coaching and mentoring student-athletes. She is a teacher, a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, a smile and a hug when needed, and a support system to many. During her tenure, she has coached at USL, Pasco-Hernando State College (in Central Florida), Cathedral Carmel School, Lafayette High, ESA and St. John’s in Houston. Ursula returned to ESA in 2015. Due to her diagnosis, she will be stepping down from her position to focus on her health and the fight of her life.

<div>Life is always an adventure for Coach Q and she teaches kids so much more than a skill of a sport: rock climbing, paddleboarding, archery skills, camping skills, but mostly life skills. She teaches them how to be better people, kindness and acceptance of others and how to leave this world a better place than they found it. Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived-that is to have succeeded.” Well, let us say that Coach Q is a TOTAL success.

<div>We all know attitude is everything and she is ready to fight this disease head-on. She will give it her all and then leave it to God. At this time, her prognosis is good and she is receiving up-to-date treatment from her team at Methodist Hospital in Houston. There is no cure for ALS and it is progressive. Coach Q will be taking medications to hopefully slow the disease’s progress but symptoms will gradually worsen over time. There are tremendous costs associated with this disease. It is known as the “bankruptcy disease” because the medical costs are endless to sustain life. Treatment involves making sure the person is well cared for, comfortable, and as healthy as possible. This often requires caretakers, mental health professionals, social workers, speech therapists, neurologists, prescriptions, breathing equipment, special equipment for mobility and electronic equipment to run the house and speak. The list goes on and on for a patient with ALS.

On September 28 my community would change forever with complete devastation from Hurricane Ian. Dear loved ones, <br /><br />Thank you all for reaching out.   CeCe was loved by so many and your outpouring of support is making her sudden passing a little more bearable.  It's too raw now, but please know that your messages and calls do mean so very much.  <br /><br />CeCe had her struggles, just like we all do.  But she was sweet to her core, and wanted nothing but to be loved and accepted by everyone and be treated the same way she would treat others.  <br /><br />Because she was struggling to find her way, our immediate family has been financially supporting her for a while.  With her passing, this presents an unexpected financial burden that I don't want my mom and dad to carry or have to think about.<br /><br />I lieu of flowers or gifts, if you can contribute in any way to help cover her funeral costs, it would be most appreciated. <br /><br />Thank you for your prayers.  I know that CeCe is now at peace and can finally rest.<br /><br />B &amp; Brannon Cobb

CeCe Cobb Memorial

<br />On September 3, 2019 Caroline Guidry Armacost was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her husband, Jon, was suddenly facing  the biggest challenge of his life. How was he going to accommodate the needs of 9 year old Sam, 6 year old Juliana, 3 year old Max, and 1 year old William while Caroline underwent very aggressive chemo? <br />They were going to need help.<br /><br />On October 11, Caroline underwent a lumpectomy with sentinel node biopsy. The pathology report confirmed that she is in Stage 1B with invasive triple negative breast cancer, or TNBC. This type of cancer is non-hormonal receptive so it cannot be treated with hormonal based therapies. Triple negative is also known as a more aggressive type of cancer.<br /><br />Caroline will start a regimen of chemotherapy on November 4 known as “AC followed by Paclitaxel” which has disabling side effects making it impossible for her to continue to work full time. This is a biweekly chemo regimen lasting 8 weeks. It will be followed by a weekly dose of Taxol lasting 12 weeks, followed by radiation for several weeks.<br /><br />In order to allow Caroline to rest and heal during these aggressive treatments, our goal is to cover the cost of hiring someone to provide much needed afternoon help with the kids.  Jon's mother is also undergoing chemotherapy during this time, adding even more stress for this young family. Caroline’s mom, Ramsey Buras, will handle management of her gifts. They are currently interviewing people to provide afternoon help.<br /><br />Caroline and Jon are now raising their family in Maryland, far from Lafayette, Louisiana where most of her family lives.  Growing up in Lafayette, Caroline was a Fatima Warrior, St. Thomas More Cougar, talented gymnast, beautiful dancer, and true example of her love for Jesus.  Her warrior spirit and unwavering faith will win this battle!
