The Kappa Sigma Fraternity is raising funds for <strong>Chef Q</strong> and her family after their home was damaged by flooding, creating a sudden and difficult hardship for the whole family. This has turned life upside down and left them facing the stressful challenge of recovering from the damage and finding a way forward. Chef Q has been an important part of the Kappa Sigma community, and this fundraiser is one way for that community to come together and support someone who has given so much to others.
<br>
<br>
 This fundraiser will help <strong>Chef Q and her family</strong> get back on their feet and ease some of the burden as they recover and rebuild. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference as they work through the aftermath of this flood damage. <strong>Any support helps</strong>, whether through a donation, a share, or simply keeping Chef Q and her family in your thoughts. Thank you for standing with Chef Q and her family during this difficult time.

<div>Hi, thanks for popping in to learn more!.
</div>
<div>The Bottom line is:
</div>
<div>-This is an original script that we have poured our souls into and we want to push it forward, hopefully to Broadway one day.
</div>
<div>-We want to pay the cast and crew what they are worth.
</div>
<div>-We need your help to do these two things.
</div>
<div>If you can't... I understand! Come to the show!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Here is the story if you want to know more:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi, my name is Caroline Helm. Have you ever been obsessed a character for your whole life and not really known why? Well that is me and Little orphan Annie. Embarrassingly so. People used to say... Do what you love! And inside, I would think, all I love is Annie, what in the heck am I gonna do with that?! I even auditioned in high school. I did not get Annie, but was proud to be Pepper in the production. So... I have now, alongside Dr. Bonny McDonald, co-written a musical where...I finally get to be Annie!
</div>
<div>Ms. Warbucks is an original script about Little Orphan Annie(inspired by Harold Gray's cartoon in the twenties) all grown up at 39 in 1961. Still spunky... and still alone, she finds herself visiting her former orphanage director, Ms. Asthma who is now a resident in a nursing home. (They changed her name to Hannigan in the play and movie). In essence, this is the story of their relationship. On this journey, there is singing, dancing, drama, and important questions about aging, loneliness and what is...home?

<div>Dear Family and Friends of the Moutons,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have set up this Go Fund Me page to help alleviate some of the financial stress on Lucas’s family, so they are able to be by his side throughout his recovery without the worry of expenses.
</div>
<div> Lucas is the second son of Alex and Kim Mouton. He has 4 siblings, Ethan, Griffin, Anna Beth and Charlie. He is a 3rd year college student at UL. He works at Motier in Lafayette and spends his summers working beach chair rentals on 30A in Florida. His love for golf has grown immensely over the past few years and he plays every chance he gets with friends. He was a basketball player all 4 years at STM and continues to play recreationally. He is very active outdoors and loves all sports.
</div>
<div> On Dec 23rd Lucas was in a horrible car accident which left him intubated in a coma in the ICU with TBI (traumatic brain injury). He suffered multiple brain bleeds causing frontal lobe injury/diffuse axonal injury (DAI). He also sustained a fractured jaw and cheekbone. Lucas underwent successful surgery on Dec 28 to fix his jaw injuries. He remained in ICU for 11 days and is now able to breath on his own with limited speech/communication and impacted physical abilities. He was moved from ICU to the Neurology floor where he is working towards a transition to neurological rehabilitation at Touro in New Orleans in the coming days. There he will begin working to repair and rebuild the neuro pathways in his brain to regain cognitive and physical skills.
</div>
<div>Lucas has a long road to recovery and Alex and Kim want to be by his side as he will need their presence and support. This account is dedicated to help cover travel, lodging, essentials and other expenses they will incur while splitting time between Lafayette and New Orleans.
</div>
<div>Any donations are greatly appreciated. If you aren’t able to donate, your prayers can work miracles too! Lucas has progressed thus far by the grace of God, his amazing physicians/surgeons/nurses and YOUR PRAYERS!! Please continue praying for strength, patience, faith and Lucas’ full recovery! The Mouton family appreciates all the love and support from friends and loved ones during this difficult journey.

<div>Ursula Quoyeser, known to many of us as Coach Q, has been diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) also called Lou Gehrig’s disease. Coach Q attended Lafayette High and then went on to play volleyball and softball at the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL) now known as UL of Lafayette. She was the first female athlete inducted into the UL Lafayette Athletic Hall of Fame in 1992.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>She has taught and coached for over 35 years in Texas, Florida and Louisiana and led her teams to numerous State High School titles in Louisiana. She helped the Episcopal School of Acadiana set a high school national record, winning 16 consecutive Titles. She has been honored with 8 Louisiana “Coach of the Year” awards and has been inducted into the Louisiana Volleyball Coaches “Hall of Fame.” Coach Q has spent her adult life coaching and mentoring student-athletes. She is a teacher, a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, a smile and a hug when needed, and a support system to many. During her tenure, she has coached at USL, Pasco-Hernando State College (in Central Florida), Cathedral Carmel School, Lafayette High, ESA and St. John’s in Houston. Ursula returned to ESA in 2015. Due to her diagnosis, she will be stepping down from her position to focus on her health and the fight of her life.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Life is always an adventure for Coach Q and she teaches kids so much more than a skill of a sport: rock climbing, paddleboarding, archery skills, camping skills, but mostly life skills. She teaches them how to be better people, kindness and acceptance of others and how to leave this world a better place than they found it. Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived-that is to have succeeded.” Well, let us say that Coach Q is a TOTAL success.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We all know attitude is everything and she is ready to fight this disease head-on. She will give it her all and then leave it to God. At this time, her prognosis is good and she is receiving up-to-date treatment from her team at Methodist Hospital in Houston. There is no cure for ALS and it is progressive. Coach Q will be taking medications to hopefully slow the disease’s progress but symptoms will gradually worsen over time. There are tremendous costs associated with this disease. It is known as the “bankruptcy disease” because the medical costs are endless to sustain life. Treatment involves making sure the person is well cared for, comfortable, and as healthy as possible. This often requires caretakers, mental health professionals, social workers, speech therapists, neurologists, prescriptions, breathing equipment, special equipment for mobility and electronic equipment to run the house and speak. The list goes on and on for a patient with ALS.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We ask that you give what you can. Any amount is valuable. Please share this, call your friends, and pass this information on to those who know her and those who don’t. Just as she has welcomed all walks of life into her circle, we welcome your support. Let’s help Coach Q live comfortably at home for many years. Funds provided through Go Fund Me are one way to help prepare her home and provide support as issues arise. All funds are going directly to Ursula Quoyeser but if you are looking for a company to support in the future, we are recommending Team Gleason. They are an amazing support group for ALS patients. Thanks!

Let's Help Ursula Quoyeser Fight ALS

<div>My name is Capt James Marko, I’m a third generation native from Cape Coral and have been lucky enough to call this community home. On September 28 my community would change forever with complete devastation from Hurricane Ian. Please donate so I can help distribute tarps, gas, baby supplies, food and water to my community who is in desperate need of any help they can receive. This community is built on hard working blue collar people who’s lives for changed over night. We have no safe running water currently and projecting no power for 3-4 weeks. money will actually be used in the community unlike other charity’s being started. Thank you and God bless

Dear loved ones, <br /><br />Thank you all for reaching out.   CeCe was loved by so many and your outpouring of support is making her sudden passing a little more bearable.  It's too raw now, but please know that your messages and calls do mean so very much.  <br /><br />CeCe had her struggles, just like we all do.  But she was sweet to her core, and wanted nothing but to be loved and accepted by everyone and be treated the same way she would treat others.  <br /><br />Because she was struggling to find her way, our immediate family has been financially supporting her for a while.  With her passing, this presents an unexpected financial burden that I don't want my mom and dad to carry or have to think about.<br /><br />I lieu of flowers or gifts, if you can contribute in any way to help cover her funeral costs, it would be most appreciated. <br /><br />Thank you for your prayers.  I know that CeCe is now at peace and can finally rest.<br /><br />B &amp; Brannon Cobb

<br />On September 3, 2019 Caroline Guidry Armacost was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her husband, Jon, was suddenly facing  the biggest challenge of his life. How was he going to accommodate the needs of 9 year old Sam, 6 year old Juliana, 3 year old Max, and 1 year old William while Caroline underwent very aggressive chemo? <br />They were going to need help.<br /><br />On October 11, Caroline underwent a lumpectomy with sentinel node biopsy. The pathology report confirmed that she is in Stage 1B with invasive triple negative breast cancer, or TNBC. This type of cancer is non-hormonal receptive so it cannot be treated with hormonal based therapies. Triple negative is also known as a more aggressive type of cancer.<br /><br />Caroline will start a regimen of chemotherapy on November 4 known as “AC followed by Paclitaxel” which has disabling side effects making it impossible for her to continue to work full time. This is a biweekly chemo regimen lasting 8 weeks. It will be followed by a weekly dose of Taxol lasting 12 weeks, followed by radiation for several weeks.<br /><br />In order to allow Caroline to rest and heal during these aggressive treatments, our goal is to cover the cost of hiring someone to provide much needed afternoon help with the kids.  Jon's mother is also undergoing chemotherapy during this time, adding even more stress for this young family. Caroline’s mom, Ramsey Buras, will handle management of her gifts. They are currently interviewing people to provide afternoon help.<br /><br />Caroline and Jon are now raising their family in Maryland, far from Lafayette, Louisiana where most of her family lives.  Growing up in Lafayette, Caroline was a Fatima Warrior, St. Thomas More Cougar, talented gymnast, beautiful dancer, and true example of her love for Jesus.  Her warrior spirit and unwavering faith will win this battle!
