<div>	Right now, our beloved brother, husband, uncle, and friend <strong>Ruben Ruiz</strong> is fighting for his life after suffering a massive stroke on <strong>June 26th.</strong>
</div>
<div>What began as a hopeful short hospital stay quickly turned into a difficult and uncertain journey. Ruben has faced numerous complications, including additional mini-strokes and a severe fall while in ICU care that caused additional challenges. While he thankfully retains use of his limbs, he has lost his ability to speak. He remains under close medical care, and despite these immense challenges, Ruben continues to stay positive—communicating through hand gestures and nods.

<div>	By his side every step of the way are his devoted wife, brother, and sister. He is a <strong>loving father to three incredible young men</strong>, and everything he does, he does for them. Many know Ruben as an <strong>extraordinarily talented guitarist, songwriter, producer, and physical trainer.</strong> Around the world, fans recognize him as the guitarist for *NSYNC. Most recently, his creativity shone brightly as he co-launched a new project with the band SKNN.

<div>	The Ruiz family is proud and private, never ones to share personal matters publicly. But now, <strong>they need our help</strong>. The emotional, mental, spiritual, and financial weight of caring for a loved one under these circumstances is overwhelming.

<div>	<strong>Ruben’s journey to recovery will be long and costly.</strong> Between ongoing hospital care, medical bills, medications, physical therapy, post-stroke rehabilitation, and household expenses like groceries and mortgage payments—support is urgently needed.

<div>Dale has been fighting a courageous battle against an extremely aggressive metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. In addition to their tremendous grief, the family is now facing a significant financial burden.
</div>

<div>We set up this GoFundMe to raise funds to support his wife and 3 children. As you can imagine, fighting a serious illness is very expensive and the family is facing a difficult financial future. Funds raised will go directly to the family to help with the medical bills and financial burden that this horrible disease has created.

<div>Dale and his wife Amy met in college while attending the University of Pittsburgh – Johnstown. It didn’t take long for them to realize they’d met their soulmate. They married in 1995 and recently celebrated their 30th Anniversary. They are the kind of couple (and have the type of marriage) that people hope for.

<div>Raising their 3 children has been one of their greatest adventures. Both of their sons are in the area and the oldest wed his longtime girlfriend in 2024. Their daughter has just begun her sophomore year of college.

<div><strong>Dale’s impact goes beyond his family. </strong>

</div>
<div>He has been committed to giving back to the community and has headed or supported various local sports organizations. He is the longest seasoned NFL reporter with over 34 years covering the Pittsburgh Steelers for local papers, online news organizations, and most recently working directly for the Steelers organization.

<div>Dale is respected, admired, and loved by many.
</div>

<div>Watching your husband, father, brother, son… fight a life-threatening illness is beyond hard. No one should have to worry about bills during times like these.
