<div>I want to introduce you all to Ed Bambas, a man I met recently in a Detroit supermarket who completely humbled me.

<div>Ed is 88 years old, an Army veteran, and he still works five days a week, eight hours a day. He has never received the pension he earned after a lifetime of hard work, and he lost his wife years ago.


</div>

<div>Despite everything, Ed shows up every day with quiet dignity, strength, and perseverance. His story is a stark reminder that too many of our seniors, especially veterans face incredible challenges just to survive.

<div>I’m opening a fundraiser to help Ed live the life he deserves to finally give him some relief, comfort and the peace of mind that comes from knowing he can enjoy his later years without constant struggle.

<div>Hi - we are the friends of Joni and Gary Witalison. On January 4, 2023, Joni had a heart attack while at work at her salon, A Cut Above in Fish Creek, Wi. Thanks to her friend and salon-mate, an ambulance was called right away and Joni was taken first to Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay, then a hospital in Appleton.

<div>Joni spent several days in the hospital, undergoing angioplasty and the insertion of two stents. Now, Joni needs a heart valve replacement, which may require open heart surgery and months of recuperation.
</div>

<div>As a self-employed small business owner, this means Joni has been without income since January 4th, and will be without income until she can return to work, possibly not until late Spring. On top of this, she has medical expenses and a high deductible to hit before her insurance even kicks in.
</div>

<div>Joni has given so much to Door County, as a volunteer for the <a href="https://www.historicnoble.org/about" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Gibraltar Historical Association</a> , the Door<a href="https://doorcountyhalfmarathon.com/who-are-we/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> County Half Marathon</a> , <a href="https://doorcountypulse.com/congratulations-to-joni-witalison/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Girl Scouts</a> , and the <a href="https://doorcountypulse.com/staff-volunteers-reflect-on-door-community-auditorium-season/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Door Community Auditorium</a>, not to mention her willingness to assist neighbors, friends, and anyone who requires a helping hand.

<div>Hi, my name is Jeff Diamond and I'm asking for your help in obtaining artificial fingers because of multiple amputations that I received that was caused by the Johnson &amp; Johnson Covid-19 shot. Blood clots formed in my hands, fingers, and legs/feet. I made my living by singing, and playing guitar for many decades. My voice was also affected by being on a ventilator with a tube down my throat for a couple of weeks. I'm working on getting my voice back however it has been very difficult. My hope and prayer is that one day in the not too distant future if I can make it is that I'm able to play my guitar again and also perform/entertain. There have been many other health issues that I'm currently experiencing however my hope and main goal as I mentioned is to play guitar once again. The surgeon that I saw at the Mayo Clinic said that this type of transplantation surgery is not performed at this time however there is an independent business (based in Rochester,Minnesota) and The Mayo Clinic works very closely with them. They design and develop what are called artificial fingers that might work. These are custom designed and made each finger one at a time. Thank you for reading and considering my request.
