Hi, my name is Helen and I am 44 years old. On November 10th, I was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer — an aggressive form of cancer that has turned my life upside down. I may be smiling in my pictures, but that smile is only on the outside. Inside, I am scared, devastated, and exhausted. Every day is a fight, both physically and emotionally. To receive my chemotherapy, I have to walk 30 minutes to the bus and then travel for over an hour. The treatments are extremely hard on my body. Eight days after my first chemotherapy session, I developed neutropenic fever and became critically ill. I was very close to losing my life. Right now, my strength is limited and my ability to work is greatly affected. I am raising funds to help cover transportation to treatment, medical-related expenses, and basic living costs during this time. Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean the world to me.
