 Help Bring Kirsten Home After a Devastating Cruise Accident
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 What was supposed to be Kirsten’s first cruise turned into the worst experience of our lives.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 On day three of our Carnival cruise, Kirsten was seriously injured during a rope swing excursion. Based on what we witnessed, a retrieval/tag line appears to have been improperly connected to the swing. As she swung out, the line tightened between her legs just before she dropped, causing a catastrophic injury.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 At first, she thought it was only a scratch. She even walked back to our transportation trying to laugh through the pain.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Within hours, everything changed.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 The swelling became severe, the pain became unbearable, and she eventually needed a wheelchair just to get back to our cabin. I called 911 from the ship, and she was rushed to the medical center where doctors treated her for hours. The swelling continued to worsen until it had reached roughly the size of a baseball.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 The ship’s doctors gave us three options:
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 * Air evacuate to the United States
</div>
<div>
 * Be taken to a hospital in Cozumel and figure out our own way home
</div>
<div>
 * Remain in the ship’s medical facility for the rest of the cruise
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We chose the air evacuation.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We were then told we needed a $20,000 deposit, another $30,000 upon arrival in the U.S., and had only a few hours to make that decision.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 While waiting for evacuation, Kirsten spent approximately 26 hours in the ship’s medical facility, where charges alone reached around $3,500, not including physician services, medications, and procedures. During that time, her pain became so severe that she could barely move, and at one point the medical staff told me they were trying to keep her awake because she would stop breathing whenever she drifted off from the pain medication.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 After hours of delays, she was finally transported by ambulance through severe weather to the airport, where a private medical jet flew us to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We are now away from home while she undergoes testing, treatment, and recovery.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We still have a long road ahead.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 The financial impact has been overwhelming. Between emergency transportation, medical expenses, travel, lodging, lost income, and the unexpected costs of getting ourselves and our vehicle back home, the expenses continue to grow.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 If you feel led to help, any amount—no matter how small—will go directly toward:
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 * Emergency medical expenses
</div>
<div>
 * Air evacuation and transportation costs
</div>
<div>
 * Hospital bills and follow-up care
</div>
<div>
 * Travel and lodging while she recovers
</div>
<div>
 * Getting us and our vehicle home safely
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping Kirsten in your thoughts and prayers means just as much to us.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and prayers during one of the hardest times we’ve ever faced.
</div>

Help Kirsten Recover After Cruise Accident

<div>Brodie recently experienced a life-altering event when he lost his right hand in an alligator attack while fishing on vacation in Florida. This tragic accident has not only changed Brodie's life but has also placed a tremendous burden on his family as they navigate the aftermath. Brodie's passion for fishing, baseball and football have always brought him joy, and now he faces the challenge of adapting to his new circumstances while holding onto the things he loves.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every dollar raised will go directly toward supporting Brodie's recovery,
</div>
<div>ensuring he receives the care and resources he needs to heal and adjust to
</div>
<div>his new life. It will also assist the family with travel expenses and medical bills.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your donation will help his family focus on his recovery and give Brodie the opportunity to pursue his passions once again. Please consider supporting Brodie and his family as they work through this
</div>
<div>tough transition. Your kindness and generosity will make a lasting impact.

Support Brodie’s Recovery After Alligator Attack

<div>Hello community,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Wanda and I am the survivor of the Woodstock (IL) Gas Station attack and I am asking for your support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On Wednesday December 31st my life changed after I was brutally attacked by a stranger at my workplace. A stranger. While I was doing my job, decided that he was going to kill me. Can you imagine? I'm still trying to wrap my head around this.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My friends say I'm an itty bitty thing. I stand about 5' and weigh all of 100 pounds. My attacker was a large man, whom I had never seen before. He has been charged with ATTEMPT MURDER-FIRST DEGREE -PROBABILITY OF DEATH, and may face many other charges, if justice prevails.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I suffered several severe injuries and required surgery, not to mention the mental and emotional trauma from this unimaginable situation. Complications from the first surgery, resulted in a second surgery and the healing process has been rough.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am currently unable to work as my body is healing and I am dealing with the emotional trauma caused by this attack. I am seeking community support for living and medical expenses, while I get back on my feet.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately after initial investigation there is no workman's compensation, no unemployment and no employer insurance to help me through this time. I also do not have private medical insurance. I know many of you have questions and all I can say is that this is a complicated legal situation. I have an attorney that is representing me and it looks like it will be many years before I see any compensation for what I have been through (if any at all).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It's hard for me to ask strangers for help. Please know that I will be grateful for any support that can be offered. I am working hard on my mental health and my body is healing, but it's a slow process.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>No one goes to work in the morning expecting something like this to happen and I am grateful to be alive, but it's a struggle.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I appreciate you taking the time and thank you in advance if you are able to donate.
</div>

Support for Woodstock Gas Station Attack Survivor

<div>Dear Friends, Family, and Generous Strangers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a sense of urgency that I never thought I'd experience. Our family has been through unimaginable hardships, and now we find ourselves on the brink of losing everything.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Just under 4 years ago, our lives were shattered when my brother was involved in a tragic shooting incident. The aftermath of this event uprooted our family's stability and left us grappling with grief, trauma, and the harsh reality of starting over. We know that we are not the only family struggling to rebuild after that fateful night.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In the wake of this tragedy, my family, among many other families, has faced countless challenges. We’ve had difficulty obtaining and maintaining employment due to the fact many people still believe my mother drove Kyle or was somehow involved in his decision to go to Kenosha. We've struggled emotionally, mentally, and financially to piece our lives back together. With my brother's unwillingness to provide support or contribute to our family, we've been left to navigate this journey on our own.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To make matters worse, I lost my job due frequent hospitalizations due to medical issues. I have been unable to work over the last four months making it extremely difficult to provide
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Despite our best efforts to rebuild and move forward, we've hit another devastating roadblock. We've fallen behind on rent, and now we're facing eviction with only 8 days left in our apartment. The thought of losing our home, our sanctuary in the midst of chaos, is overwhelming and terrifying.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We've exhausted every resource available to us, but we're still coming up short. The reality is that we have nowhere else to turn, and time is running out. We're pleading for your help, your generosity, and your compassion to see us through this crisis.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards preventing our eviction and ensuring that my family has a roof over our heads. Whether it's covering rent, utilities, or even helping us find temporary housing, your support will make an immeasurable difference in our lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But beyond financial assistance, we're also asking for your kindness and empathy. Please share our story, spread the word about our campaign, and help us reach as many compassionate souls as possible. Together, we can rally around each other in times of need and offer hope to those who are struggling.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From the depths of our hearts, we thank you for taking the time to read this. Your generosity will help us survive this crisis.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With profound gratitude,
</div>

<div>St. Bede School is home. We are family. We are a community. We were founded in 1958, and for 65 years the school has been an anchor of education and faith formation. Although we are faced with what seems to be a mighty challenge, we are a strong, faith-filled community, who are ready to do all that we can to meet this challenge. As Isaiah 60:22 NLT, states, “The smallest family will become a thousand people, and the tiniest group will become a mighty nation.” We may be small, but we are mighty!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>St. Bede has a long history of educating future leaders. Here is evidence of what St. Bede education is and what it means. The alumna who initiated this fundraiser, Susan Lutzke says:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>"Hi, my name is Susan Lutzke, and I am fundraising for St. Bede Catholic School in Ingleside, Illinois. I went to St. Bede for 11 years and have created so many wonderful memories there.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, families were informed on Wednesday, December 13, that unless we manage to raise $400,000 by January 26th (44 days), the Archdiocese of Chicago will close St. Bede School. So many experiences and traditions have been created there that have helped shape the students into good and kind humans. I am now a senior in high school and I wouldn’t be who I am without my time at Saint Bede.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The funds are needed to cover the operating deficit for the next school year, which includes salaries and benefits for the amazing and dedicated teachers and staff. This isn’t the first time the school has needed saving, but it will be the last unless there is a miracle. Anything helps, even just sharing! In the event that not enough money is raised and/or it is decided that the school will be closed in June 2024, all donations will be refunded."
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since we are a family, we have joined forces, and St. Bede School is now co-hosting this campaign. This is the official online donation page for St. Bede School. Additionally, we are adding records of all in-person donations so that you can easily see our grand total/progress with the click of a button.

<div>Many of us received the devastating news that our beloved Jonnie Angel was tragically killed on Saturday November 04, 2023, a victim of senseless violence. Jonnie was a devoted single mother to Jeremy, 14, and McKayla, 10, and a loving caretaker for her Mom. She worked tirelessly to provide for her family without complaint. She was a kind, caring, humble, loving, family member (mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin), a friend to many, a dedicated worker, a provider for those in need, and an amazing human being all round. She faced many battles head on; she was a warrior that never gave up. Through her positive presence and servant attitude she shone God's light into so many peoples lives without even knowing it! Although He called her home earlier than we can understand, she was able to touch so many lives. Her love will live on in our hearts and through her children. Rest in Peace.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On behalf of Jonnies family, a go-fund-me account has been set up to cover costs for her funeral expenses, immediate necessities for daily living, (food, housing, clothing, school, transportation, etc) and saved for the childrens future. We thank you for being a part of her life and contributing to assist her family during this difficult time. God Bless.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Go Fund Me Requirement: All funds received will be managed by trusted family member, Jacquelyn Valasek. (aka Aunt Jackie). Childrens future expenses may include but are not limited to health, education, housing, transportation, weddings and other life events they need to navigate without their Mom

<p>Brendan Burns has a long (and hopeful) road ahead of him. He was diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer today, 7/13/2021. Please continue to keep Brendan, Megan, Tim and baby sister Maggie in your prayers as they start this battle. I will provide updates as the family wishes.

Brave 4 Brendan

<div>Just 9 months ago, these sweet boys lost their father unexpectedly. If that wasn't tragic enough, they are now enduring the sudden loss of their mother as well. Within one year, they went from having a traditional, loving family to now having to face the world without the comfort and guidance that they have known since birth.

<div>Brayden &amp; Ryder have been part of our Moms Club family for the past 4 1/2 years.   Melanie is a dear friend of mine and a member of the Moms Club of New Lenox in which I am the current President.   Our club is helping to raise money for funeral expenses, boy's education and other financial needs.  All proceeds will be directly deposited into a trust that has been set up for Brayden and Ryder.
</div>

<div>This unimaginable loss is overwhelming for the boys and family. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated. Your support would mean the world to Brayden &amp; Ryder, for their needs now, later and in the future.

Twin Boys Lose Both Parents Within Same Year

Sean Coughlin is 37 years old and a member of IUOE Local 150. He has been married to his wife Kristin for 16 years and has two children (6 months old and 2 years old). Sean is a family man, an extremely hardworker and willing to help anyone in need.
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, while working on a job out of town, Sean was severely injured. Thankfully he was able to be released from the out of town hospital where he could seek medical attention from doctors / surgeons of his choice and to be able to heal at home with the support of his loving family and friends.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sean has a long road of recovery ahead of him before he will be able to return back to work. The Coughlin family is grateful for any financial assistance provided to help them get through this recovery.
