Help the Shenandoah Valley Art Center Recover After a Devastating Flood

Just before Thanksgiving, a sudden plumbing failure—caused by a faulty part and entirely out of our control—sent water pouring through the Shenandoah Valley Art Center’s main gallery in our newly renovated 416 W Main Street. By a true miracle, no artwork was damaged, and for that we are deeply grateful. Unfortunately, our floors and building structure were not as lucky. The repairs will be extensive, costly, and time-consuming.

We do have insurance and remain hopeful that much of the damage will be covered. However, the impact on our day-to-day operations and programming will be significant in the months ahead. With limited programming during repairs, our ability to stay financially afloat is at real risk.

We’re turning to our community to help us bridge this challenging period. Your support will provide critical interim funds that allow us to keep our doors open, support our staff, and continue serving as a creative hub for the Shenandoah Valley while we rebuild.

If you’re able, please consider contributing. Every donation—large or small—helps ensure that the Shenandoah Valley Art Center can recover, reopen fully, and continue inspiring our community for years to come.

Thank you for your generosity, your care, and your belief in the power of the arts.

Help the Shenandoah Valley Art Center’s After A Flood

Dear friends,

On February 15th, Hank Wesselman passed into the realm of his beloved ancestors and spirit guides after releasing his final breath.

At the time of his passing, he was comfortable and without pain or struggle. His wife Jill Kuykendall was blessed to be at his bedside, to hold his hand, speak to him, and kiss his forehead as he entered into his next chapter of being.

Hank is an incredible Soul, Great Chief, Shaman Practitioner, Anthropologist, Father, Husband, and Teacher to many.

He brought shared light, love, blessings, and wisdom to so many of us through his books, shamanic circles, and teachings, both online and at various retreat centers.

Many of you have expressed a deep desire to help Jill and their family at this time. Because of the overwhelming amount of requests to support, we are raising funds for his memorial and funeral costs.

If Hank has made an impact in your life, then a donation of any amount is greatly appreciated and will go directly to Jill and their family.

In appreciation,

The Support Team for Jill and Family

Memorial for Hank Wesselman

This morning we received the most devastating news that nobody wants to hear. My 3 children lost their father, and I lost my husband to a fatal car accident. Nobody plans for these type of things, and I am not one to ask for any help or reach out when help is needed, but at this point I am so stressed, numb, and worried.
This fundraiser will help with the expenses. Also, Christmas is approaching and we haven't even began to prepare.
Anyone who helps, even just a share, it is greatly appreciated.
I am at a loss of words and will keep this short for now.
Thank you, god bless, and Happy Holidays :(
