<div>What happened:

<div>On Saturday, June 6 2026 around 8pm just hours after the mass shooting near the Old West End festival that shattered our Toledo community, an entirely separate nightmare struck our family. 
</div>
<div>  My 18-year-old daughter, Angel Wing, and her boyfriend Logan were targeted in a violent, armed robbery &amp; attempted car jacking in front of  2550 Greenway Street near Ottawa Park in Toledo Ohio. They were held at gunpoint, and Angel was shot through the arm, and bullet went into and lodged in her chest and had to be surgically removed. She’s had to have multiple surgery’s while  pregnant.

<div>Angel is currently 26 (now almost 28 weeks) pregnant with her very first child.

<div><span>We need the world to know about the incredible bravery of Angel’s boyfriend. During the robbery, the gunman while holding the weapon directly to his head. In a desperate act to protect his pregnant girlfriend, he fought back and tried to wrestle the gun away from the attacker. The gunman fired to kill him, but missed, and the bullet shattered Angel's arm and tore into her chest instead.</span><br />

<div>He is dealing with his own immense trauma from that terrifying moment, but he refuses to break. He has not (still even to this moment of editing this fundraiser) left Angel's side for a single second at the hospital (now she’s out of the icu and at a rehabilitation hospital) . He is completely dedicated, keeping vigil at her bedside, and preparing himself to take on the massive roles of full-time caregiver for Angel and a new father to their baby.

<div>The Fight for Angel and Her Baby

<div>The bullet shattered Angel’s arm, traveled directly into her chest, and lodged there before surgeons could remove it. The blast injury from the gunfire caused a devastating fracture to her 12th (now we know there are actually 2 fractures) vertebra, leaving her spinal cord severely traumatized.

</div>

<div>Right now, Angel is (unfortunately still) completely paralyzed from the waist down with zero movement in her legs. Doctors are entirely unsure if she will ever walk again.

</div>

<div>Because of the severe trauma, Angel went into early labor at just 26 weeks (thankfully they were able to stop the labor so she is now almost 28 weeks) . Her medical team has been working around the clock to slow her contractions. While they have managed to gap them out, they are treating this as an emergency situation where the baby will likely be born very early. Angel is being given aggressive medications to rapidly develop her baby boy’s brain and lungs. He currently weighs just 1 pound, 9 ounces. Every single day he stays inside her is a miracle.

<div>Angel is in excruciating pain (still in severe pain), but her options for relief are severely restricted because protecting her baby comes first. She cannot take anti-inflammatories or certain steroids, and her pain medications are strictly limited. She spent half of yesterday on a ventilator in case of emergency surgery. Though she hasn't been able to eat since Saturday, she is awake and talking.

<div>Her absolute biggest fear in life has always been paralysis. (She taking it better than I would though) Now, she is facing that reality while under immense stress, worrying constantly about how she will care for her newborn baby from a wheelchair.

<div>Why We Need Your Help Directly

<div>We are setting a goal of $50,000 to completely overhaul our lives so Angel, her boyfriend, and their baby have a safe, accessible environment to heal.

<div>  My husband works at Jeep and faces frequent layoffs, meaning we simply do not have the savings required for the massive structural changes needed immediately. (Or if through extensive rehabilitation treatment hopefully she can learn to walk again or loan to navigate the wheelchair with a brand new arm surgery and two plated placed in there to support the shattered are, she doesn’t have much movement still with her arm still)

<div>The young couple will hopefully be moving into the lower level of my home so our family can provide 24/7 care and support. However, we have a multi-level house that requires major, immediate modifications:

<div> Building an Accessible Lower-Level Bathroom: The downstairs area currently has no bathroom. We need to construct a full, wheelchair-accessible bathroom on a concrete floor (potentially adding a small extension or platform) so Angel can live completely on one level without dealing with stairs. This alone is estimated to cost at least $5,000.

<div> Ramps and Transitions: We must build structural ramps for her to get through the front door of the house, and additional ramps to transition between the kitchen and the lower-level living area.

<div>(They are young adults so they may want to find an accessible house or apartment to keep their independence even though I am trying to get them on board to letting me turn my entire lowest floor of my home into an apartment that will be their own private place, but with us literally upstairs if they need anything, which, unless I can convert that downstairs. They’re definitely not gonna get on board to moving back here nor will this house be accessible  enough to work for her) (also if they are going to find an accessible apartment, then she’s going to need full-time care so I’m hoping that they get enough donations to supplement Logan being able to stay with her and provide full-time care for her and the baby because both me and my husband Work, that’s why I want them to come move in here if I’m able to get the house more accessible cause then they can stay here for free, but you know how young adults are when they first get their independence they’re not in a hurry to give up that independence even after a major tragedy, which is completely understandable so I need to find them a place at least close to me so that I’m within a few blocks from my daughter, her boyfriend and their baby so I’m close if they want or need anything, and obviously even if they choose or are not currently able to move in here due to them, not being willing to give up their independence right before they have a new baby or especially if I’m not able to transform this downstairs area of our house into an accessible apartment )

<div> Wheelchair-Accessible Transportation: Angel will require a specialized van to get to intensive inpatient rehabilitation, constant physical therapy, and high-risk prenatal and pediatric appointments.

<div> Adaptive Parenting Supplies: We need to source and purchase specialized, accessible baby gear designed for a mother who cannot use her legs and has limited strength in her healing arm.

<div>The police currently (still) have no leads (there is a video confirming it happened exactly how they described but unfortunately the video is so greeny they cannot make out the identity of the shooter) . We are (hoping to) set aside a portion of these funds as a cash reward for any verified information given to law enforcement that directly leads to a criminal indictment and charges against the person who did this.

(She’s already need added to this as the beneficiary but GoFundMe me has it locked for some reason, and it literally told me that I got say who I am to the victim and which I already did and say who it is, which Debt would not be very safe to give her entire full identity. I’ll give them mine if anybody wants to verify that it is my daughter by all means call me that there’s a picture of who she is and a first name so that’s gotta be good enough. I’m not gonna give her last name though because they still haven’t caught the bad guy yet) (luckily she’s still in a safe medical  facility I’m really hoping that they catch this guy before she is released which they do not expect that to happen anytime in the next couple months as far as her getting out of the rehab rehabilitation because she’s still unable to get out of the bed at this point cause she’s still in so much pain probably because she’s got a whole baby sitting on her fractured spine)

He is a proud father who tragically lost his son Seth in 2020 and is deeply loved by his five remaining children, who are doing everything they can to help.

I experience rheumatoid pericarditis, which causes chest pains from inflammation around my heart, and occasional pleuritis, which affects the lining of my lungs. I live in near consistent pain and overwhelming, life disruptive fatigue have long become my daily norm. I take low-dose chemotherapy and prednisone, which will be for the duration of my life. I challenge this illness every single day just as it challenges me!

I encountered serious privacy issues, including fake inquiries and inappropriate inquiries from men. The experience was daunting and significantly worse than anything I faced in the past, forcing me to take down several of the listing sites I was using. It became clear that bringing a stranger into my hard-fought safe space at this point in my life is a risk I simply cannot take. My safety is paramount. Unless I find someone I know personally—which I am actively trying to do alongside other avenues—maintaining this fundraiser is my only path to stability at the moment.

Robert “Jerry” Hiller was a beloved uncle, son, brother, and friend. At 68 years old, Jerry was a proud Navy veteran who dedicated his life to service, both in the military and in his community. With over 25 years of sobriety, he was a guiding light in the AA program, always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear to those in need. Jerry’s warmth, humor, and generosity touched everyone who knew him, and his absence leaves a profound void in the lives of his family and friends.

 On Christmas Eve, Jerry’s vehicle was swept from the road by sudden flood waters caused by a massive storm. His passing was a heartbreaking shock to all who loved him. The NYT has now reported on the man who works at the sidewalk fruit stand in front of the auction house and sold the banana in question, a nearly blind 74-year-old immigrant named Shah Alam who makes $12/hour manning the stand and lives in a basement apartment in the Bronx with 4 other men. When a reporter told him how much his 25-cent banana sold for as “art,” he cried in bewilderment. Asked for comment, the “artist” said: “the reaction of the banana vendor moves me deeply . . . However, art, by its nature, does not solve problems.” In other words, none of my business.

<div>Drew was tragically killed when he was struck by a hit and run driver while on a family vacation in Melbourne, FL where his father and step mother were married on December 23, 2023. The tragic accident occurred early Christmas morning. Drew was a very caring person who was always there for anyone who needed him. He loved his family, football, video games and his friends. He was a very intelligent young man and he had plans of enlisting into the United States Navy in 2024 with goals to be a part of the Nuclear Field program.

<div>Thursday night (12/07/2023) around 6:00 pm, Alonso decided to take his daughter on an outing. Unfortunately, Alonso was struck by a car while crossing the walkway. He was able to push his daughter out of the way saving her life. According to Denver Police, the driver is uninsured and was only given a citation. Alonso was rushed to the hospital to treat multiple injuries including fractured ankle, broken elbow, torn ACL and broken ribs. He was released from the hospital a day and half later. While at home, Alonso, stopped breathing. Family started CPR and called for an ambulance to assess the gravity of the situation. Paramedics arrived on scene, they performed life-saving measure for 45 minutes. Alonso would ultimately succumb to injuries and died.

<div>We are all devastated by Alonso's loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Alonso the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.

<div>On Thursday, April 13, 2023, my nephew Ralph P Yarl was on his way to pick up his twin younger brothers from their friend's house a few blocks away from his house. He didn't have his phone. He mistakenly went to the wrong house, one block away from the house where his siblings were. He pulled into the driveway and rang the doorbell. The man in the home opened the door, looked my nephew in the eye, and shot him in the head. My nephew fell to the ground, and the man shot him again. Ralph was then able to get up and run to the neighbor's house, looking for help.

<div>Unfortunately, he had to run to 3 different homes before someone finally agreed to help him after he was told to lie on the ground with his hands up.

<div>Ralph Pual Yarl is a fantastic kid, and I am not just saying this because he is my nephew. He truly is. At school, he is a member of the Technology Student Association and Science Olympia Team. Jazz and competition band. He is a section leader in the marching band; a scholar and one of the top bass clarinet players in Missouri. He recently earned Missouri All-State Band recognition with an honorable mention. He plays multiple instruments in the metropolitan youth orchestra. He is a 2022 Missouri scholar academy alumni. Ralph can often be found with a musical instrument. He loves them all.

<div>Last summer, Ralph attended Missouri Scholar’s Academy, where he got a full college life experience. His goal is to attend Texas A&amp;M to major in chemical Engineering. In Memory of Corrina Woodhull- Family And Funeral

<div>Hi, my name is Tori and I'm fundraising for my good friend and coworker, Sarah and her mom, Vickie. Sarah is a current nurse in Colorado. Sarah has been a healthcare worker since before COVID and has continued to help the community of the Denver-Metro Area. Vickie was a school teacher for over 40 years and has just retired this past summer. Recently, Sarah and her retired mother attempted to buy a house where they could reside for the long-term future but were conned out of all of their savings. When Sarah and her mother realized what had happened, it was too late to recover their money. Sarah and her mother were heartbroken and additionally lost the house they were hoping to purchase. Despite all of this, Sarah has continued to show up in times of need for others, providing a helping and caring hand.

<div>In the most tragic and utterly heartbreaking of events, Liz was rushed to hospital on Wednesday with what felt like a migraine. The melanoma on her brain had bled and she passed away shortly after.

<div>Sarah is a 34 year old mother of 4 beautiful children. For the past 5 years Sarah has been vegetarian then vegan, followed an organic lifestyle, hardly drank alcohol and never once smoked.

<div>In April 2021, she was diagnosed with stage 4 aggressive colon cancer, with significant metastatic spread to her liver. Despite 23 rounds of chemo, Sarah’s cancer markers continue to climb. The conventional Western medicine doesn’t have much hope to cure her.

<div>Her only chance for a cure? An expensive medical treatment plan in Thailand, at Verita medical centre.
</div>

<div>Why? With different IV medications, vitamins and a controlled food intake, Verita aims to treat the cause of the cancer, not just the condition. This method combined with immunotherapy and a different style of radiotherapy will be implemented at a leading hospital in Bangkok, using an unconventional treatment plan, not available in Western countries, and that has shown excellent success rates in patients with similar cancer. In short, this is the only option at a cure for Sarah…

She is also the daughter of one of my closest friends (Tina Busellato, who will be managing all the funds for the respective payments to get her treatment done). <div>On April 11th, 2021, Sarah’s world changed forever. With no symptoms other than night sweats, a standard hospital visit lead to a diagnosis that no one could have ever imagined, stage 4 aggressive colon cancer, with significant metastatic disease to her liver. A little over a week after her diagnosis, she underwent major colon resection surgery to remove the main tumour. It was so large that doctors were stunned she could even eat. In May 2021, after recovering from her surgery, she commenced a strong concoction of chemotherapy drugs to tackle her liver tumours. Every second Wednesday, Sarah has attended the Cancer Ward at St. John of God Murdoch to endure one of the longest chemo daily regimes administered in the clinic. A typical chemo treatment lasts a couple of hours, but not for Sarah. With her multiple chemo drugs and allergic reactions, she sits in the “chemo chair” for up to 8 hours at a time, only to go home with an additional chemo bottle of continued treatment for another 48 hours. Over time, Sarah’s health degraded with the side effects compounding against her, yet her spirit, fight and devotion to parenting her children has always remained unfaltering.
</div>

<div>It has been 23 rounds to date, 23 rounds when she was initially told 12. After initial success with chemotherapy, the PET scan in August showed the cancer dramatically reduced. However, after a change in her chemo drugs due to severe health and allergic reactions, by December PET scan, the cancer had grown back to its original size. Sarah’s cancer is now no longer responding well to the chemotherapy, and unfortunately this is no longer a viable option for a cure.
</div>

<div>Sarah continues to suffer immeasurably and horrific side effects associated with the treatment. I’m sure you would all know how much chemotherapy impacts a person’s body, mind and spirit. Yet, her selflessness and devotion to motherhood has been unwavering, humbling and admirable…

<div>Sarah’s family has been researching day and night for options that will both reduce cancer and be less toxic to her body. Their research led to a promising place in Thailand called Verita Life, a division of a German company now practicing in several locations around the world. This place is unlike anything in Australia and and this has become her only hope for a cure.

<div>All this treatment is outside of medical insurance and comes at a steep cost. Most of her life savings have already been used to keep her alive in the last 12 months, this is why we need this Go Fund Me page to appeal to any friends, family, colleges or kind strangers’ kindness to help raise money for this expensive but life saving treatment.

With no money, housing, transportation, health services or insurance, and a criminal record that is rarely cleared despite innocence, the punishment lingers long after innocence has been proven. All while the real perpetrators—to the extent they were prosecuted by the State—have long since been freed. Memorial fund for Ashley Buck Barlow

Today on this fatal day, 25th April 2021, a family from North Edison, New Jersey has been torn apart by a tragic death due to  Acute Pneumonia and lack of oxygen of the sole earning member of the family – Ashher Aamir, Aged 36 years, who is survived by his wife and two kids (3 year old daughter and 8 month old son)<br /><br />This tragic incident occurred when Ashher went to Delhi, India in the 2nd week of April to be with his mother as she was sick and to be with family during the pious  month of Ramadan with his family. As soon as he landed in few days, he and rest of his family fell sick as well . Over the next few days his situation kept on deteriorating. As many of you are aware the situation in Delhi, India is bad and there is no beds, doctors, proper medication and oxygen in hospitals for the needy. The same fate Ashher had to dealt with. Eventually our friend, our warrior lost the battle and took his last breath at 11.11 am on 25th April 2021.<br /><br /><br />Hearing the news, wife and kids are devastated and are completely dealing this unbearable loss on their own.<br /><br />When we think about Ashher, his ever-helping nature, smiling face and full of life persona comes to our mind. We remember how he use to enjoy playing crickets, actively sharing his views and  getting involved in all the festivals across all the religions. I am reaching out in hopes of finding support for our neighbor Ryo.<br />A few months ago Ryo was taken away by ambulance, some weeks after that a crew was in the hallway cleaning out his apartment and we thought he had died, in fact a friend of his set up a memorial to him in front of his building at 133 Ave D asking if anyone knew what had happened to him. <br /><br />Yesterday Ryo returned home after hospitalization and months of COVID rehabilitation.  He arrived to the building to find his locks changed and his apartment emptied out except for his piano and tortoise (who was left alone for months). He had worked throughout the pandemic as a restaurant worker. He initially got sick in October and was hospitalized in January.<br /><br />He has no shoes, no toothbrush, no documents or ID, no passport, no fridge or stove. <br /><br />He needs assistance to get his life back and move forward. She was the one that defended herself from this unprovoked attack. But she is now suffering two serious black eyes and one that is bleeding unstoppably. Her wrist has also swelled up. She has been severely affected mentally, physically, and emotionally. She also stated that she is afraid to step out of her home from now on. This traumatic event has left her with PTSD. Although she has health insurance that covers the basics, there are still many medical expenses that cannot be covered on her own. She is a cancer survivor and she also has had diabetes for over 10 years now. The funds that we receive will be used to cover her medical expenses, her therapy treatment, and her bills that we will have to pay constantly from now on. We want to thank everyone that is donating and that has shown my family massive support through this very traumatic event. My heart is with all the other elderly asians that has also been seriously injured or killed in this wave of attacks towards the asian community.</span>

Mrs Potato Restaurant has received innumerous messages and calls from people wanting to Support and Reward our hero, <strong>Flaviane Carvalho</strong>. This account was set up in order concentrate all the donations made on her behalf. Flaviane, from Orlando FL, wrote ‘Do you need help? Ok’ on a piece of paper and showed it to the child in question after she noticed his family was withholding food from him, and prohibiting him from ordering anything to eat at Mrs. Potato restaurant, on New Year’s Day. Carvalho stood behind the boy’s parents so they wouldn’t see her, then held up the note asking him if he needed help. He signaled yes, prompting her to dial 911. Orlando Police interviewed the youngster, who detailed the alleged torture he’d endured. The outcome of this story was only possible because of her act of kindness, compassion and how fearlessly she stood up for this child.<br />The purpose of this Gofundme is to reward Flaviane for taking a stand and speaking up.<br />Kindness is not something that necessarily needs to be rewarded.
