We are currently fundraising in response to the fires burning across Spokane County. Donations raised will be delivered to verified people impacted. Wildfires that strike quickly and burn out of control have become increasingly common in the western United States. These fires claim lives, destroy homes and property, and expose communities to harmful smoke. Each year, hundreds of people create fundraisers on the GoFundMe platform asking for help in the wake of a destructive wildfire. This fund was created to provide direct relief to people in need after a wildfire. Your tax-deductible donation will ensure this fund can support as many people as possible as soon as a disaster strikes. We send critical cash grants directly to people who need help recovering from the impact of a wildfire. For more information, click here to review a one-pager about this fund's impact. We are currently fundraising in response to the devastating flooding from the March 2026 Kona Low Storms that impacted islands across Hawaiʻi. Flooding is one of the most devastating natural disasters in the US, causing billions of dollars in damage each year and displacing thousands of families. Too often we see people create fundraisers on the GoFundMe platform asking for help in the wake of destructive floods. GoFundMe.org has launched this fund to provide direct and immediate support to those impacted by floods this year. Tax deductible donations will go to individuals and families impacted, and to the nonprofit organizations who are responding on the ground. Every dollar will go directly to the communities in need. Your support will help flood survivors begin to rebuild—stronger and together. For more information, click here to review a one-pager about this fund's impact. Current Need March 20, 2026 - The Hawaiʻi islands are facing the worst flooding they have seen in 20 years. Families have been displaced, homes damaged, and access to basic necessities disrupted across impacted communities. Heavy rains have overwhelmed infrastructure, leaving many residents without safe shelter, reliable transportation, or essential supplies. The situation remains urgent, with more than 5,500 residents ordered to evacuate, hundreds of rescues already taken place, and local responders working to assess an estimated $1B in damages. GoFundMe has generously donated $100,000 to kickstart the Hawaiʻi flood response so that grants can be issued in the first 24 hours to verified folks impacted and empower them to access their personal urgent relief needs. Thousands of families are now displaced, schools are facing costly repairs, and FEMA is still assessing the full extent of the damage. Over the July 4th weekend, catastrophic floods swept across Central and South Texas, devastating homes, displacing families, and leaving entire communities underwater. With little warning, rising waters destroyed businesses, washed away roads, and forced emergency evacuations. Thousands of Texans are now navigating the aftermath—mourning lives lost, cleaning up what’s left, salvaging what they can, and facing an uncertain road to recovery.
