Hi, my name is Gloria. I’m a mom, a friend, and someone who has always worked hard to support myself and my family. I never imagined I would be in a position where I’d have to ask for help, but right now, I truly don’t have another choice.
This fundraiser is deeply personal. Over the past months, my health has taken away not only my independence, but also my sense of security. I’m currently facing three painful and connected conditions: Subacromial Impingement Syndrome (SIS), a flexion contracture in my elbow, and osteoarthritis. I live with constant aching and sharp, stabbing pain that makes it nearly impossible to lift my arm, get dressed, cook, or work.
What has been just as hard is the emotional toll. I feel overwhelmed, anxious, and worried about what will happen if I can’t get the care I need in time. I’ve gone from being self-sufficient to needing help with even the simplest daily tasks, and that loss has been heartbreaking.
So far, I’ve completed X-rays and physical therapy, but my doctor has told me that I urgently need an MRI and continued specialist care to prevent permanent damage. The uncertainty of not knowing how serious things may become weighs heavily on me every day.
Delays with my insurance and California EDD State Disability have left me without any income while I’m on medical leave. Bills are piling up quickly, and I’m scared of falling further behind while also being forced to delay the treatment I desperately need.
The funds raised will go toward:
• Up to $25,000 for potential surgery (depending on MRI results), overdue medical bills, physical therapy, and sports medicine care
• $5,000 to help cover basic living expenses while I’m unable to work and recover
I am doing everything I can to stay strong, but I can’t do this alone. Every donation, no matter how small, brings me closer to answers, treatment, and a chance to get my life back. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing my story could make a meaningful difference.
I promise to keep you updated every step of the way so you can see how your kindness is helping me move forward.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your compassion, generosity, and for giving me hope during one of the most difficult times in my life.
