An independent filmmaker based in London, currently developing a short film ‘Fragments’ — a short film inspired by a true story. The script is in its final stages of development. Fragments follows a woman navigating contentious probate within a fractured family, as she works through the legal system in pursuit of clarity. As the story unfolds, it reveals how silence, control, and family dynamics can intersect with a system that often protects existing privilege, leaving her on the outside of decisions that directly affect her. This film is important to me because it reflects real experiences that are rarely spoken about openly — particularly around family conflict after loss, the emotional weight of being unheard, and the challenges of navigating systems that can feel inaccessible. It’s a story about truth, resilience, and finding the strength to keep going, even when the odds feel against you. I’m raising £7,000 to bring this project to life and produce the film to a strong professional standard. The funds will go towards key production costs including a Director of Photography, actors, wardrobe, catering, two locations, sound, and editing. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help make this film possible. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this project would mean just as much. Thank you for your support. — Miss Jacob
