My name is Jaylynn, and I am writing to you today with both a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit. I am a first-generation student and have been accepted into Carroll University with a major in nursing and premed. Nursing has been my dream for as long as I can remember, and I am incredibly passionate about it. I aspire to eventually specialize in neurology and possibly become a surgeon. Over the past couple of years, my family has faced significant financial challenges, including losing our home. Although my dad has been working hard, recently starting a job in trucking, it has still been difficult for us to make ends meet. I have been working and saving, even picking up a job at Olive Garden this summer to help cover tuition costs. I have also applied for financial aid and grants, but even with those, the cost of school remains out of reach for us. To help cover my tuition, which is due on the 29th, I have created a GoFundMe campaign with a goal of raising $12,000. Any amount you can contribute would be an immense help and would mean the world to me. Your support would allow me to pursue my dreams of becoming a nurse and eventually a neurologist.
