<div>On May 30th, my son Kekoa Tamale, a 23-year-old Hawaiian/Tongan Waimea Valley lifeguard and aspiring musician, was brutally attacked on the North Shore, along with a 15 year-old Hawaiian boy, an honor-roll student and all-star athlete. Both were kicked and beaten unconscious and almost drowned by a group of 20 teens and adults.

<div>Both Kekoa and this young boy were rushed to the ER with severe injuries. Kekoa suffered broken hand and eye sockets, had plastic surgery to reconstruct his eyelid, a concussion, and bruising all over his body. The young boy suffered a broken nose, concussion, possible loss of vision in one eye, loose teeth, and a severe knee injury. Out of respect for his privacy and his family's wishes we are keeping the 15 year-old victim's identity protected.

<div>They are both now recovering at home under close medical supervision, and lucky to be alive.

<div>To add insult to injury, the attackers, who had filmed the entire incident, took the time to edit and create a whole reel of the attack, glorifying the violence, and posted it to TikTok. We're actively in investigations to identify all the attackers.
</div>

<div>They didn't deserve any of this, and do not deserve to suffer the fall-out of such a senseless and evil act. Kekoa and this young boy have a long road ahead of them and I'd like to ask our communities' support in helping them recover. If you are able, we are collecting funds for medical and legal costs, and Kekoa's lost wages while he recovers. Any help is greatly appreciated to help them get back on their feet.

<div>Just a few short days ago, my son Kayson was worrying about homework, bowling tournaments, and making plans with his friends. He was living the joyful, carefree life every 14-year-old deserves. Strong. Healthy. Full of energy. Full of dreams.

<div>On February 18, 2026, everything changed.
</div>

</div>
<div>What started as a swollen lymph node under his chin and routine blood work turned into the phone call no parent is ever prepared to receive. We were told to go to the hospital immediately. By February 19, Kayson was diagnosed with <strong>Acute Myeloid Leukemia</strong> (AML), an aggressive cancer of the blood and bone marrow that moves fast and demands immediate treatment.

<div>On February 20, my brave boy began chemotherapy at Boston Children’s Hospital.

<div>Since then, hospital walls have replaced classrooms. The steady beeping of monitors has replaced the sounds of bowling pins crashing and laughter with friends. Instead of fishing trips and video games with friends, Kayson’s days are filled with blood draws, medications, scans, and long conversations about treatment plans. He is expected to remain inpatient for at least six months as he undergoes intensive chemotherapy and specialized care.

<div>Jennifer's infectious and outgoing personality touched many people, especially with her loud mouth and kindness. She was a devoted sister, daughter, and friend who selflessly supported our family financially and emotionally, especially through our most difficult times.

<div>On that devastating night, she was welcoming the new year with many friends and family when an accidental spark led to a faulty cache of firework explosion. With her was her other half and our little brother, and when the explosion occurred, due to the chaos, they faced an unimaginable struggle to find her. After a desperate search and several hours of distress, my parents finally located her in a hospital, only to learn that she had sustained life-threatening injuries. She was pronounced dead early that morning, where my parents witnessed their beautiful first born motionless, leaving us shattered and in disbelief. We are grateful for everyone who was present that day and helped out when they could.

<div>Hi my name is Kyle and I'm here pleading and asking you for your help. My dear friend and sister Gigi shared some news with me on Friday August 19th in regards to her health.

<div>I knew Gigi was fighting cancer but what I would soon learn is how serious it is and how time is running out....

<div>In spring of 2021, Gigi had fainted one morning and thought nothing of it. As her symptoms of chest pains, dizziness and numbness began to progress, she went to her doctor and ran many tests. She was diagnosed with Cancer - Sarcoma Stage 3.

<div>She had a chest wall tumor at 7cm. Imagine the devastation in having to tell her 2 children and immediate family members. Another battle to fight as she had brain surgery in 2019.
</div>

</div>
<div>Even with having insurance, she’s spent thousands of dollars of her own money on treatment, medicine, labs, scans, tests, co pays, hospital visits and etc. 
</div>

<div>Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy hasn’t helped her get to a place where she can have surgery. Although her tumor went from 7 to 5 cm her cancer has spread to her bones/ribs.

<div>With doctors telling her she is now at Stage 4 with about 16 months to live. Gigi still continues to smile and stay strong in her fight to keep living until her last breath.

<div>She will be stopping treatments after this cycle and focusing more of a Holistic approach as we pray deeply that this approach will help eradicate her cancer and allow her to continue living and do what she does best and that's giving back to the community as she has done since I have known her. Gigi is the founder and owner of a 501C3 called Common Tree based here in Las Vegas. Common Tree helps adults who have been homeless or are homeless and asssit with getting them the basic necessities of life.

<div>Common Tree also helps kids that are in need by supporting them with mentorship and supporting them with supplies for school,  toys for Christmas and food for Thanksgiving.

<div>Hello everyone, on behalf of my brother, <strong>Kainalu Castillo</strong>, I created this GoFundMe in a time of need. Kainalu was diagnosed with <strong>Chronic Myeloid Leukemia </strong>in April 2022 and has been fighting since. With the help of many professionals, loved ones, and his faith; Nalu has been able to push through the ups and downs of his diagnosis and the daily life of a young teacher in his 20s. He has been on daily chemo pills, weekly to monthly doctor appointments, and has undergone surgery on his lymph nodes.

<div>Nalu, having just turned 26 in November of 2025, was later presented with the reality that his body was now rejecting the treatments he's been under. In the year 2026, he will be receiving a <strong>Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant</strong>. A transplant is a high-risk, intense, and fragile procedure that will require a great amount of attention, care, and time. This procedure will be done outside of his home state, during unpaid time off, and with the need for a full-time caregiver.

<div>Fundraising will be of great help as the road ahead is long and unknown. Kainalu will be in the ICU for many weeks and in strict isolation for months as he builds his new immune system.
