- As a young kid, I didn’t get to go to the dentist much. I’ve had two major dental accidents—one at school, and another on my bicycle—that left lasting damage. Later in life, my world was turned upside down when my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney failure. In 2011, I donated my kidney to him, but sadly, he passed away in 2018. Afterward, I found myself in a difficult relationship where I suffered further injury—being elbowed in the jaw several times, which caused TMJ and more tooth damage. Now, I’m a mom of two amazing kids and, after years of hardship, I’m finally in a loving relationship and planning to get married next year. For the first time in a long time, I have a reason to smile again. But it’s hard to do that because of my dental issues. I recently reached out to a dentist in Texas who is willing to work with me, but the cost is overwhelming. The dental work I need is extensive: all of my top teeth, ten on the bottom, surgery, healing, time off work, and airfare. This isn’t just about teeth—it’s about being able to smile with confidence for the first time in my life. Your support would mean the world to me and truly change my life. You can’t begin to understand the amazing impact this would be for my life. I’m so grateful for your support.
