<div>   Dear community- There is no easy way to say this, but our beloved Britt is navigating a recent Stage IIIC2 cervical cancer diagnosis. Over the coming weeks and months, Britt will undergo an intensive treatment plan that includes chemotherapy, two types of radiation, and immunotherapy. She is also working in conjunction with multiple practitioners of various healing modalities in order to best support her body’s healing and the success of these treatments. As of now, we know that the cancer has metastasized beyond her cervix and into 7 pelvic lymph nodes. It is suspected that it could easily travel into the chest, so she is committing every bit of energy she has to her healing journey at this time. The emotional weight of such a life-changing diagnosis, combined with the demands of treatment and time away from work, has been overwhelming. At just 34 years old, her treatment will also result in medically induced menopause, adding another layer to an already difficult journey. It feels pertinent to name, though, that even in the midst of the deeply difficult emotions, Britt is surrounded by so much love, and she is leaning fiercely into the knowing that her body is intelligent, and she will heal this. We have created this GoFundMe in the hope of helping alleviate some of the financial burden during treatment so that she can fully direct her energy toward what matters so deeply at this time: healing and recovery. Because Britt will be without an income during treatment, these donations will help cover essential living expenses—including rent, utilities, transportation, nourishing food, and medications—while also allowing her to invest in supportive therapies and supplements that will help her navigate treatment with the greatest possible comfort and support. <div>In the summer of 2020, my best friend Cali Thorngate was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Over that time, Cali has been on a medical journey to battle her diagnosis with a clear mind and open heart. If you know Cali, she has the most beautiful brain, using optimism as her shield and psychology as her weapon. Now, <strong>Cali needs community to help her in this battle with her most recent prognosis - brain mets and leptomeningeal disease, which requires additional treatment and will not allow her to work for the time she has left.</strong> With mounting medical bills and less income, the hope is to alleviate the stress and help take that stress off of Cali's plate as we prepare for her final days, as well as plan for Hannah's future needs and outstanding home expenses.

He continued working as long as he possibly could, until his doctors finally insisted he stop. As a result, he has been unable to work for the past year and a half and is now coming up short on his basic monthly living expenses.

<div>My name is Corrine Weber, and I am creating a Go Fund Me for my daughter Juliana. She was in a horrendous car accident on July 27, 2024, at 1:52AM. As a result of the accident, she suffered fractures to her femur, spine, and various other locations on her body. She has also suffered the tragic loss of her best friend, Madysin Hilker. The road to recovery will be lifelong for her. She has already endured multiple surgeries, which includes a ten-hour surgery to her spine, with rods and screws now holding her body in place. <div>I will need a mastectomy, which is an amputation of my breast, and up to 20 lymph nodes will be removed from my chest and underarm, followed by major reconstructive surgery and radiation treatments.

<div>I am currently 4 weeks into chemotherapy, with 16 weeks to go.

<div>Like no other. Rebecca, our burning star of creativity, energy and wit, has left this world. This past Wednesday, I awoke to a text from Rebecca‘s sister Rachel, followed by the call with her sharing the news. She passed shortly after midnight, after falling unconscious from a seizure, similar to one she experienced less than a month prior.
</div>

</div>
<div>My heart is shattered. I travelled so many peaks and valleys with her. Every moment I cherish, all the way up to the last days and weeks we were able to spend time together on our weekly visits. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These words are preliminary and wholly insufficient to relay the gravity of all that she was and how much she was loved.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There is much left to do; her sisters are currently in coordination regarding a memorial service in her honor. This will likely be held on or about June 28. Precise timing and details will be announced soon, and it will take place in the Baltimore area.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I will love and miss her, tremendously and forever.

<div>**UPDATE February 2026: This has been a long time coming. The heaviness of the news since Rebecca’s surgery and all the incoming details and data surrounding it have prevented us from giving a proper update before today.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To begin, the good news is that the emergency brain tumor excision surgery in October was done successfully, without damaging any basic neurological function.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The worse news is that the tumor removed was metastatic, emerging as a result of the original HER2+ breast cancer, subsequently appearing in the brain. This is a new paradigm and will have to be actively managed from here going forth.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Constant care and vigilance will be the regime from here on out, owing to high risk of continued metastases elsewhere in the body. A permanent titanium plate now lives in Rebecca’s head from October’s surgery. Hormone treatments, among other courses, are also on the horizon.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All these factors have placed her in a position that overwhelmingly limits her ability to work and live independently.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Given all these circumstances, she still is determined to make a Multicult record, and with some good grace, make some live appearances this year. Of course we will have to respond to circumstances when and if they arise in the meantime.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Survivorship care is where we’re at, and we’re hoping to get as much help as possible, to aid her in what is becoming exceedingly and exponentially difficult with each passing week.

<div>Urgent update for everyone— Rebecca was brought to the emergency unit after a serious seizure this past Saturday evening. The MRI she received indicates a significant tumor in her brain, which will have to be operated on. Her surgery is scheduled later this week. She’s lucid and in stable shape at the moment, but it is a critical time and we are all very worried and holding on for her. Please feel free to reach out, those who are close and keep her in your thoughts! We are pulling for the experts here to rise to the occasion for her special and beloved soul.

<div>Rebecca, the bassist of Multicult, has been diagnosed with a very serious Inflammatory Breast Cancer (HER2 type). It has very rapidly progressed to a Stage III, having already spread to one of her lymph nodes. Last week, she started the first of multiple intensive chemotherapy treatments. It's been a hard week for her, to say the least. These treatments will be followed by mastectomy, radiation, and eventually, reconstructive surgery. The total course, barring any unforeseen complications, is expected to last 12-24 months. 
</div>

<div>Someone her age ought not even be thinking of having to deal with something like this, but here we are. This type of cancer typically isn't discovered until it has progressed to Stage III (being an incredibly fast-growing and aggressive type). It will be an enormous battle for her, and I hope whoever reads this will consider lending their support in this fight.

<div>The Tennessee Breast Cancer Screening Program has been tremendously helpful in getting her started on the path to treatment and recovery. That said, the ultimate costs surrounding this fight are still very much in the air. She will not be able to work while undergoing these treatments.

<div>Being confronted with a diagnosis like this is one of the scariest things anyone could ever go through.
