<div>Sonia found her first home ever in the hills of San Leandro and was very excited to be a homeowner for the first time as she was formerly homeless. Also as a peer support and recovery specialist and Narcotics Anonymous volunteer she is used to helping others and now she is in need of help herself.

<div>Upon coming to visit her new home she was immediately met with racist slurs and hate from the neighbors. After these verbal attacks she then found her house spray painted with "NO BLACKS" on her front fence that she was hoping to paint as her quintessential "white picket fence" as a welcoming sight for her new home.

<div>She does not feel safe nor welcome in the neighborhood living there as a single woman of color with two grandchildren and unfortunately does not want to stay in her new home. It took everything she had to buy this home and fix it up so she could move in. It will now be a costly process for her to turn around and sell the home that she had planned to move into. We are fundraising for Sonia so that she is not punished for having to find another home just because of the terrible situation she encountered after buying her first home. Everyone deserves the chance to follow their dream and live in peace. Sonia will be moving on to find a new home where she and her grandchildren can live and be free of prejudice and hate.

Stand with Sonia Reed against Racism

<div>On January 7th, 2025, the Eaton wildfire decimated the small town of Altadena. In the family’s own words:

<div>“Altadena was an oasis. A special mountain gem filled with wild parrots and the kindest people you’ll ever meet. It was a magical community in the truest sense and where we created a home for our family. It was home, where we raised our son who delighted in the plants and wildlife around and had just begun Kindergarten at the school down the road.”

<div>Adam, a talented music producer and songwriter, had a home studio where he produced and recorded music which supported his family. Now without even a place to create, <strong>he and Lisa are left trying to pick up the pieces.</strong>

<div>The Eaton Wildfire ravaged their town, decimating the community and leveling all the surrounding homes. While their home miraculously is one of only a few left standing in their area, it is completely surrounded by toxic rubble and unlivable for months if not years to come. The area has been deemed by the National Guard as too dangerous for residents to return to. Adam’s equipment, their belongings, memories, and keepsakes are smoke-damaged, and the road to recovery will be long and daunting.

She’s since learned that she has two types, both invasive and non-invasive, that will inevitably require extensive medical and surgical intervention. As you can imagine, this news has been devastating, and carries along with it an enormous amount of physical and financial uncertainties. In the overwhelming attempt to wrap my head around this reality, I’m reminded that this is not Olivia’s first cancer diagnosis..making it all the more difficult to process. As some may know, a few years back Olivia faced a similar circumstance which also resulted in the need for surgery, a loss of wages, and time for physical and emotional recovery. This battle was fought largely in private due to the nature of who she is as a person, and her reluctance to share the weight of such a burden.

<div>In times of hardship it’s never easy to ask for help. But to know Olivia is to know the definition of a true friend; one who is kind, generous, supportive, and impeccably loyal to those close to her heart. Olivia’s friends are her family. This is a fact that has held true in all the years I’ve known her. I have no doubt that across her wide circle of loved ones spanning from New York to Philly, Texas to L.A. and beyond, and throughout her lifelong presence in the NY/PA hardcore scene, anyone who has met her can attest to this truth. And right now she needs her family.

<div>Jelly started doing her classmates’ and cousins’ hair for fun, but the older she became, the more she wanted to make a career out of hair styling . One of her biggest realizations was that hair was never a hobby for her; it flowed through her veins!

<div>Kids particularly loved her fun personality and normally had an instant connection with her. It didn't take long for Jelly to brainstorm ideas on how to make these connections with kids a long-term connection. That's when she came up with Peace &amp; Love Studios. The idea behind the salon is an all-inclusive membership-based salon, to provide fun and a needed confidence anchor for our children especially within the special needs community. She realized early in her career that her services not only revitalized hair but also confidence. From experience, Jelly knew how hard it can be to be different and gain acceptance for who you are. She believed her gift should be used to build confidence and self-esteem in our youth to help them deal with the many social woes of today, such as violence and bullying. Jelly states, "With Peace and Love Studios, our youth will be able to better navigate life knowing greatness exists inside of them.”

Fund Big Blue (Kids Mobile Salon)

<p>My name is Felipe Coronel. You guys know me as Immortal Technique. For the past two months, I’ve been conducting food runs to the elderly, the immunocompromised, the disabled, and the mothers with small children across many communities in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and other New York City areas. The stimulus check is gone. Social security doesn’t always cover the expenses many elders have. New York City runs on tourism, and no one is coming here now. With jobs scarce, a police force in disarray, an ongoing pandemic, mass shortages more commonplace and uncertainty among our people, now is a time more critical than ever to show our love and support to the community.<br /><br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/48823168_1592336744749940_r.jpeg" alt="48823168_1592336744749940_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br />We forget how many elders in our community are unable to stand on three-hour long lines outside of pharmacies and grocery stores, who are taking care of our grandchildren, and who have taken care of us in our times of need. Imagine that you’re not a young person brimming with confidence and you’re an 80 year old person who grew up with 12 channels on TV. Now every channel tells you something different, some say the virus is a hoax (they then since corrected themselves) or they fear monger without solutions. Many elders are confused and don’t know what to believe from who. <br /><br />Voting 25 times every century doesn’t create a democracy. It is the institutions that protect the civil liberties of the people that when chipped away at crumble the structure. The elders in our community are the bedrock upon which all of our lives are built on, now more than ever we want to support them. Over the past 8 weeks I have invested almost $10,000 of my own money into the program. All the people who help out are volunteers and 100% of the funds raised will go to food and medical supplies that we deliver to affected communities. As with the Haiti and Afghanistan trips, we will publish all the money spent and received and be transparent with everyone who donated.<br /><br />The Rebel Army Runs aims to raise roughly $30,000 for a summer long program (or longer if we exceed our goal) where we deliver a weeks worth of food, canned goods, feminine products, diapers, supplies and basic children’s medicine to a suffering community every week in NYC and LA. I have done this in others countries, and all it took was a few people working and a lot of voices spreading the word. Brooklyn Delaere is a twenty-two month old boy who has recently been diagnosed with cancer.  He is a lively, smart, loving and happy child. <br /><br />Last week Brooklyn started having gastrointestinal issues and became lethargic. His mother, immediately took him to the pediatrician and after multiple tests he was admitted to Lurie Children's hospital with a diagnosis of neuroblastoma. Help Brooklyn Beat Neuroblastoma

Myself, Wade St. Germain and my husband, RJ Baker are a married gay couple who own and operate 2 businesses on Main Street in Parksville, NY.    Our attorney, civil rights lawyer, Michael Sussman is filing a lawsuit on our behalf against our neighbors who have waged a hate filled anti-gay campaign directed at ourselves, our businesses and our clients.  The complaint states<br />"the defendants have engaged in a concerted pattern of harassment based upon sexual orientation and preference and repeated tortious acts of assault, battery, stalking and harassment."    We are raising funds to cover our legal costs.<br /><br />In 2003, we bought the building at 36 Main Street in Parksville which we finally opened in 2015 as Beaverkill Studio, a green screen film studio.  That same summer we purchased  the building formerly known as  Big Willie's  restaurant- where we served our wedding reception dinner after making our vows over at Beaverkill Studio. In the summer of 2016 we transformed the Big Willies's into our own restaurant and music venue, Cabernet Frank's.   <br /><br />Our wedding and opening of Beaverkill  marked the onset of the harassment by our neighbors at 34 Main Street.    Our neighbor states online  “the bottom line is he will close if it takes every bit of my breast [sic] out of me I will make sure he closes I will take it to the grace [sic] that we will close that’s the last thing I do in my life I will make sure that motherfucker closes his restaurant.”  <br /><br />We have a full stay away order of protection.   By law, he must stay away from myself and RJ  as well as "the home of , the school of, the business of , place of employment of ....Refrain from communication or any other contact by mail, telephone, e-mail, voice-mail or other means.  Refrain from assault, stalking, harassment, menacing, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, intimidation, threats or any criminal offense....<br /><br />In November, 2018 he was found guilty in 2 separate trials;  1) for calling RJ a fa**ot and then head butting him and 2) for disorderly conduct, charging at a patron of the restaurant.       He has yet to be sentenced.   And still, he continues to harass us online, in person, our businesses and our customers.  <br /><br /><iframe media_type="0" media_id="BYTayOgS5xw" class="youtube-replace" title="YouTube video player" style="margin-bottom:20px;width:560px;height:315px;" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/BYTayOgS5xw/?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="1"></iframe><br />Aside from the signs that he posts continuously accusing us of "killing stray cat with antifeez Don't eat here" (sic) that are all over his property, and on the easement which is our property (!), on his car which he parks across from our front door.   He calls the State Police regularly,  the Sheriffs Dept, Health Dept, the Town Building Dept, the SLA (NYS liquor authority) and the DEC.  His complaints have all been found to be without merit.    <br /><br />The restaurant has lost wait staff who are afraid of him, patrons who he intimidates when they are walking from their car to the restaurant, or from the constant barrage of police who respond to his unfounded complaints.  Patrons and staff don't want to be harassed when they are going for a fun night out, and some do not return.   In spite of this, the restaurant still has a faithful following.<br /><br />The studio however, which is located directly next door, cannot function as a business in this intimidating environment.   The concept of Beaverkill Studio is a media production center where people can "shoot, edit and stay" providing a full working retreat for maximum production .   Unfortunately,  our neighbor  videotapes friends, clients, potential clients, air bnb guests as well as delivery personnel who come in and out of the building .   This aggression,  along with the stalking, the taunting, the threats,  the dog feces &amp; cat litter thrown at our building, the lights aimed at us, the trespassing and the noise has discouraged our clientele.    <br /><br />Parksville is a small hamlet in the town of Liberty.   One other business besides ours is currently operating on the Main Street.     Beside the emotional and physical toll, this has created a large financial burden especially not being able to operate Beaverkill Studio as intended  and so we must look to you for help.    We want to stay in Parksville among our community of great friends, neighbors and customers; we will not be chased out by one neighbors' relentless campaign of  hate.   <br /><br />Any surplus funds raised will be used for a  privacy fence and well lit parking lot.<br /><br />Thanks for supporting music and artistic production in Parksville.<br /><iframe media_type="0" media_id="f0QDgAx1290" class="youtube-replace" title="YouTube video player" style="margin-bottom:20px;width:560px;height:315px;" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/f0QDgAx1290/?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="1"></iframe>

It was sudden, it was unexpected, it was - and still is - heartbreaking. <br /><br /><br />Vice Verses created End of the Weak, and the MC Challenge. His constant creativity and motivation has kept it rocking across the globe for the past 20 years. Vice Verses Memorial Fund

My father, my teacher, my mentor, my first real super hero. I’ve been blessed. Blessed to have this man in my life to teach me. To show about love, honor, discipline and respect. For sometime now my father have been in and out the hospital suffering from seizures, malnourishment, kidney failure, COPD, pneumonia, and a bleed in his brain which caused him to have memory loss and speech problems. It was hard for me to see him in this state because he was such an amazing man that I looked up to growing up. My father Larry Sutton wore many hats. He was dad to me and my siblings. He was our Karate instructor. Our protector, provider, disciplinarian and that one person u can always turn to for anything. Well, this morning, November 5, 2019 at 1:30am my father ended his fight and is no longer suffering.  He passed away in a Detroit hospital. Although my heart is torn apart, I feel good knowing that he is no longer in pain. I am humbling myself before y’all because my family and I need help to give my father the proper service, burial and headstone he deserves. Also to pay the remainder of medical bills accumulated over the times he spent in the hospital and nursing home. A lot of y’all know my father and don’t even know it. He was an actor in the cult classic film “Toxic Avenger”. <br />My dad, My superhero Mr. Larry Sutton. I love you dad. Thank you for everything. Every lesson, every code and every moment you spent showing to be a man. I won’t let you down.

My Father’s Burial

To know J. Arch was to love J. Arch - it was really that easy.  He had presence not only in the physical sense, but with a smile that could light up the darkest path and a heart bigger than himself. Arch was a son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. He was a protector, mentor and confidant.  He was a warrior, he was magic.  Words simply could never do him justice - J. Arch was just... the best. <br /><br />As many of you know, J. Arch had been ill recently. He passed on Thursday November 27th, 2014. This campaign has been started to raise money for J. Arch's family in support of their loss. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. We are also collecting photographs of Arch for his memorial.
