Isabelle Armstrong

Hi, my name is Isabelle and I am 18 years old. I am hoping to compete at the 2026 JJIF World Championship. In 2025, I competed at Nationals and placed first, earning my spot to compete at Worlds. Unfortunately, due to funding issues, I was unable to travel to Thailand for the World Championship that year. In 2024, I was given the opportunity and competed in Greece, but because of limited funding my dad was not able to come with me. I had to travel and compete alone with a team I did not know at the time. It was my first major international competition, and going through that experience without my coach and parent by my side was extremely difficult. Even so, I placed third in the world in no-gi. Since then, I have continued training and improving, both physically and mentally. This year, especially I’ve been building up for this tournament. All fundings that will be donated to me is going straight towards the tournament. My goal is to compete, but not only just to compete but to compete with my dad. Anything helps!
