<div>We’re setting up this fundraiser for someone incredibly important to us. Julian Hovenden, a loving husband, dad of three, a hard-working self-employed tradie, and one of the strongest people we know.

<div>In 2019, on his 30th birthday, Julian was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He endured six months of chemotherapy and an additional year of maintenance treatment. It was a long, difficult road, but Julian overcame it with courage, grit, and the support of his beautiful wife Nicole and their young family.

<div>Unfortunately, in June 2024, the cancer returned.

<div>Julian began a chemotherapy trial in August, which helped temporarily. But in May 2025, scans confirmed the cancer had become resistant to treatment. Now, he’s facing the fight of his life, starting R-CHOP chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant on June 16th.
</div>

</div>
<div>This treatment will be long, intense, and exhausting. Following treatment, a hospital stay of up to 100 days will follow. Julian will need up to 12 months off work, isolated while his immune system rebuilds.
</div>

<div>As a self-employed family man, Julian won’t be able to work during treatment and recovery. That leaves his wife Nicole to carry not only the emotional load of caring for him and their children, but also the full financial weight of day-to-day life. They are doing everything they can, but they need help.

<p>Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I’m reaching out to ask for support for my mum. 
</p>
<p>She’s currently battling cancer and facing a number of serious health complications. While she’s always been incredibly strong and generous putting everyone else before herself, this time, she needs help. 
</p>
<p>Over the past year, her health has declined rapidly. Between ongoing cancer treatment, travel for specialist appointments, and managing other chronic medical issues, she’s been pushed to her limits both physically and mentally. Most of her savings have gone toward specialist appointments, treatments and transport to and from hospitals hours away. 
</p>
<p> I’m asking for help from friends, family, and anyone who can spare even a little. Every dollar raised will go directly toward helping Mum, easing the financial burden of her medical care, like ongoing wound care, specialists, travel costs, accommodation and cancer treatment which will last another year and a half.
