<div>I’m writing today on behalf of my longtime friend Randa—a woman whose kindness and strength have inspired everyone around her. She is a devoted single mother of four incredible children, always putting others before herself. Sometimes life’s toughest moments are impossible to express alone, so as her friends, we’re stepping in to share her story and ask for your kindness.

<div>Recently, Randa received heartbreaking news: she has been diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease, meaning her kidneys are functioning at less than 30% of their normal capacity. She is quickly approaching the point where she will need dialysis to survive. For months, Randa endured worsening symptoms—fatigue, swelling, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, trouble sleeping, muscle cramps, These symptoms make every day a struggle, leaving her drained and unable to care for herself and her family as she once could.

<div>Randa’s challenges are compounded by the fact that the hospital failed to clearly explain what was happening to her for months, leaving her without answers or support. Now, she’s also facing heart failure and hypertension, which add even more strain to her health.

<div>Randa has O+ blood type, one of the least common blood types, in contrast this also presents unique challenges for organ donation. In kidney transplants, recipients with blood type O (including O+) can generally only receive a kidney from another O donor. This can make finding a compatible living donor more difficult. If you have O+ blood, or know someone who does, you could be a match for Randa and potentially save her life. As her condition progresses, a kidney transplant will be essential for her to regain her health and independence.

<div>Despite her strength and determination, Randa is now out of work and has no reliable transportation, making it extremely difficult for her to get to medical appointments or provide for her children. With a monthly rent of $3,200 and medical bills piling up, she is struggling just to keep a roof over her family’s heads and food on the table.

<div>Kidney disease has turned Randa’s daily life upside down. She battles constant exhaustion, difficulty concentrating, and the emotional toll of knowing her health is failing while trying to be there for her children. The stress and uncertainty weigh heavily on her and her family, making even the simplest tasks feel overwhelming.
