Hi everyone,
I am reaching out today to ask for a helping hand for my wonderful mom. Recently, she has been facing a continuous cycle of stressful car troubles. After her previous vehicle unexpectedly broke down, she couldn't afford anything newer, so she did the absolute best she could with her budget and bought a secondhand car. A vehicle is an absolute necessity for her, especially because she makes the long commute from Buckley to West Seattle every single week to care for my son.
Unfortunately, this car has turned into a massive financial drain. She has already poured her limited savings into replacing parts, trying everything she could just to keep it running so she wouldn't let us down. Now, the car suddenly refuses to start at all.
Because she has completely exhausted her funds on previous repairs, she is currently in a position where she can't even afford to have a mobile mechanic look at it or have it towed to a shop.
This breakdown has left her completely stranded at home in Buckley. More than just a loss of transportation, it has created a massive crisis for our entire family. My mom is our sole childcare provider, watching her grandson daily from Monday through Thursday while we work. Because she cannot make her commute, she is isolated at home, missing her grandson, and we are actively having to take time off work because we have no alternative backup care.
Her broken-down car has brought all of our daily lives to a sudden halt.
We are hoping to raise funds to take this immense weight off her shoulders and get our family back on track. The immediate goal is to cover:
- A mobile mechanic diagnostic fee or towing to a local shop.
- The cost of parts and labor needed to finally fix the starting issue permanently.
My mom drives miles out of her way every week to step up for us, and it breaks my heart to see her stuck like this when she was just trying her best to make things work. Any amount you can donate—even the price of a cup of coffee—will go directly toward getting her car inspected, repaired, and getting her back on the road. If you aren't able to donate, sharing this link with your network would mean the world to us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and prayers!
