A young family in our community is fighting to stay together after the father was taken into immigration detention. Omar* is a loving partner and devoted dad, and his absence has left this family heartbroken, struggling, and at risk of being torn apart. Omar has been fighting his asylum case while detained at Farmville for months, with no idea of when he will be released.

The mother, Maya*, is now caring for their baby with special medical needs alone — attending appointments, managing treatments, and keeping their home stable while also advocating for her partner’s return. The father is doing everything he can from detention to stay connected and fight legally to come home to his family.

Please consider supporting these young parents as they struggle to protect their baby, keep their family safe, and fight for the future they deserve together.

Donations will help cover rent, medical appointments, diapers and formula, transportation, and urgent legal fees needed for reunification. With both parents unable to work and the mother providing full-time care for their baby, the financial strain is overwhelming.

Your support helps this family stay housed, ensures their baby gets the supplies they need, and strengthens the father’s legal support to come home.

Every family deserves safety, dignity, and the chance to stay together! Thank you for standing with them in this painful moment.

Support Maya and Baby During Omar’s Detention

The War in Sudan has created the World’s largest Humanitarian crisis. According to the World Food Programme 19 million people are facing extreme levels of hunger and very little international humanitarian aid is reaching the country.

In Response to this tragic situation in our native country, we have setup the Khartoum Aid Kitchen initiative to feed the hungry in the greater Khartoum area.

Our first Kitchen in Al Hitana Omdurman has been a success. Alleviating hunger in the area by feeding 1,250 of the most needy people daily. The fortified stew we provide with bread is not only intended to provide sustenance but to also be nutritionally balanced.

Since our kitchen in Al Hitana opened we have proceeded to rapidly setup new kitchens across the Khartoum State area. With the hope of being able to feed as many hungry people as possible.

We currently directly run 12 fully fledged Kitchens as well as 5 partner kitchens which we support by covering their rice needs.

Directly run kitchens:
