The Bergen County Juvenile Fire Prevention Program (BCJFPP) has been protecting lives and shaping futures since 1987. Bergen County Juvenile Fire Prevention Program is a nonprofit organization in Bergen County, New Jersey dedicated to working with juveniles who have been involved in fire play and fire-setting behavior. Our mission is simple but critical: educate, mentor, and redirect at-risk youth before a dangerous behavior becomes a life-altering tragedy. Every year, our trained volunteer educators—many of whom are active and retired firefighters—work one-on-one with young individuals and their families. Through education, counseling support, and positive mentorship, we help these youths understand the consequences of fire misuse and develop lifelong fire safety awareness. This program doesn’t just prevent fires—it saves lives, protects property, and gives young people a second chance. BCJFPP operates entirely through dedication and volunteerism.
