I am a single mother doing everything I can to provide for my three children—a 16-year-old daughter, a four-year-old son, and a nine-month-old son. Recently, I started a new job at a local restaurant, hoping it would be the perfect opportunity to raise my income and give my family the stability we need. Unfortunately, business has been very slow, and I am not making enough to cover our rent and bills. As the only parent in the home, I am working as hard as I can, but it feels impossible to keep up. I am currently searching for a second job to help us get by, but in the meantime, we are facing the very real threat of losing our home right before the holidays. Receiving help with our rent would mean everything to us. It would allow us to keep our home during the holidays and keep my children and me off the streets. My kids don’t deserve to experience homelessness—they deserve to feel safe, warm, and secure, especially during the winter season. Your support would give us the breathing room we need while I continue to look for more stable work. I am doing everything I can to provide for my kids, but right now, I need help.
