<div>I’m reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my brother Nick and April to share that our sweetest Dom, a smart and strong 7 year old, has been diagnosed today with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). For the last couple of weeks Dominic has not been his active bubbly self. He was more fatigued than normal, feeling weak, not eating much, looking very pale, and bruising extremely easy. He was taken by emergency vehicle to the University of Iowa Hospital November 18th after a visit at his PCP showed very critical blood count levels. This devastating diagnosis has turned everyone’s world upside down. Dominic has received three blood transfusions today. Tomorrow’s plan is to place a port for chemo, take a bone marrow biopsy, and complete a spinal tap. One day at a time, but a lot to take in and try to understand for our little fighter. The doctors said they expect a stay of about 6 months for the first part of his treatment. April, Nick, and Dominic now face a long and difficult journey of treatments, hospital stays, and emotional challenges.

<div>We are all doing everything we can to give Dom strength to fight this illness, but the financial burden of medical bills, treatments, and other unexpected costs will be overwhelming. To reduce stress and allow mom and dad to focus solely on supporting our sweet boy through this journey we are asking for any bit of help. Every donation will go directly toward Dominic’s medical care and support, for transportation, or housing as needed.

Dominic’s fight against Acute Myeloid Leukemia

<div>Hello, I’m Kali, one of Trisha’s closest friends since elementary school and I’ve created this go fund me on behalf of the Sullivan family, Trisha, Anthony, Bentley (4), and Xander (3 months). Xander has a rare condition called biliary atresia that was just discovered.

<div>Xander was born on October 5th, 2022 weighing 9.5 lbs after a healthy pregnancy. A couple days later they got to take him home and introduce him to his big brother! After a few weeks, Xander was starting to become jaundiced so they took him back to the doctor. Besides the jaundice he was eating and gaining weight perfectly fine. They were told it was a type of jaundice that came from breast milk and not to worry that it should go away on its own in a few months.

<div>On January 12th, Trisha began noticing other symptoms and quickly became concerned. After calling her doctor they told her to take him to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri which is a little over an hour away. Upon their arrival doctors were immediately concerned and they were admitted. After many tests and ultrasounds it was confirmed he has a rare condition called biliary atresia. Biliary atresia is  blockage in the tubes (ducts) that carry bile from the liver to the gallbladder. This is causing a bile build up in his liver causing damage.

<div>On January 13th, Xander had a liver biopsy done. They are back home awaiting results on the biopsy. He also had a cholescintigraphy, a test where dye is injected into his abnormally small gallbladder to see if bile properly travels through the ducts. In Xander’s case, the dye stayed where they injected it, showing that his ducts are completely blocked. Depending on the results of biopsy, Xander will either come back to hospital soon for a surgery to try to fix the duct and “make” a new one or be added to the liver transplant list. If he get the surgery to make a new duct and it goes well, he would need a liver transplant sometime in the next 6 months to a few years. If they decide not to do the surgery, or if they do it and it fails he will need a transplant possibly sooner.

<div>Anthony is retired from the military due to an injury and currently works as Medical Support Assistant at the VA Clinic. Trisha works part time at a veterinary clinic as a vet tech assistant. This go fund me is set up to help them with medical expenses, lodging, gas, lost wages, child care, and whatever else may come their way during this difficult time. The hospital is over an hour away and they will be making many trips back and forth for scans, tests and other appointments for the next few years.

<div>Hello all, my name is Acasia - most of you know me (Karen's niece). As most of you know, Karen was recently told she had an artial myxoma on Wednesday, January 19th. She was immediately scheduled for<em> open-heart surgery on Thursday, January 27th.  </em>

<div>Yesterday, I thought I was going in to go over results of a stress test, I was wrong. They instead were going to do an ultrasound of my heart, where they found a large mass (8-10cm) connected to my inter atrial septum. This is flowing throughout my left atrium and ventricle, back and fourth through the mitral valve. They are confident it is a benign atrial myxoma, 1 in 10,000 people get this. They don’t know how you get it, where it comes from or how long I’ve had it. They think within the last year or so and said that it is one of the largest they’ve seen.

<div>I will have a cardiac cath done Wednesday next week and open heart surgery Thursday to remove this mass. It doesn’t feel right to ask for prayers for myself but I do think I need them at this time. Please keep the prayers coming. My family and I appreciate it so much."

Karen's Medical Journey

Delilah has been found!!! ♥️ She has been through it all, she’s been hit by a car, been missing on the roads for two weeks and is going to need a lot of extra care. We want to get her training because of the terrible circumstances she came from, we are getting a fence put up right away, and of course all of the doctor bills she is going to have. We can’t thank the community enough for everything you have done for us and we are over the mood to have her home with us. We are kindly asking for donations to go towards - vet bills, training/ care she needs/ and to get the highest fence up possible. (Reward money will go towards as well) Thank you everyone ♥️

As many of you know - Elijah gained his angel wings on 1/12/18 in an automobile accident. At this time, we would ask anyone who can donate to help with funeral and burial costs. Sebastian was born with a very rare neurological condition that is leaving the specialist baffled. Neurologist, Genetic Specialist, GI, Endocrinologist and Ophthalmologist at the University of Iowa's Children's Hospital are all working together to try to give this condition a name. This condition is causing Sebastian to have many health issues. He has been diagnosed with Microcephaly, which is an abnormally small head. The skull grows when the brain grows, this means Sebastian's brain is not growing at the rate it should. This is causing Sebastian to mentally slow like if he was to have down syndrome. He has now been diagnosed with Infantile Epileptic Encepalopathy which is getting worse by the weeks, according to his EEG's. The neurologist are now treating this very aggresively, for fear it will continue to get worse. He is now on a strong liquid steroid, but the next step if this doesn't work, are a series of daily steroid shots. It has caused him to become very irritable, and without the medications he screams from morning until night. This conditon has also caused Sebastian to be diagnosed with Muscle Spasticity, Myoclonus, Impaired Swallowing, Failure to Thrive, Nystagmus, other abnormal eye movements, and imparied vission. In non-medical terms these conditions cause Sebastian's arms and legs to be stiff due to too much tone. He has a weak trunk so he can not support or hold himself up. He can not hold his head up for more then a few seconds when laying on his stomach. His nerves and reflexes are very sensitive which cause his legs to shake uncontrollably. On 7/11 he had a swallow study done, the thicker the liquids the more liquid went into his voice box. His appetite has begun to decreased so a NG tube is being used for some of his feedings, but a G tube is being discussed in two weeks. Soon the specialist are going to begin a genetic panel that test all of his genes to see if we can put a name to this condition. Thank you all for the love and support!
