My dad, Hugo Alberto Ramos, is my hero—a hardworking family man who has always given us everything he could. He’s our protector and provider, a man who puts his children first and stays out of trouble. Growing up, I watched him work tirelessly to make sure we had what we needed, always putting our happiness and safety above his own. He’s the kind of person who minds his own business and lives with integrity, and I am proud to be his child. Recently, our world was turned upside down. On his way back to the small town where he works, my dad, Hugo Alberto Ramos, was pulled over and, because he is an undocumented immigrant, was placed in ICE custody for deportation. This is devastating for our family—especially since my mom was deported last year. My dad is the only parent we have left, and we depend on him for everything. He wants nothing more than to stay with us, his children, and continue building the life he sacrificed so much for. We are asking for help to keep our family together. The funds raised will go directly toward consultations and legal fees for an immigration attorney, giving my dad, Hugo Alberto Ramos, a chance to fight for his right to stay in the US.
