After losing my daughter in 2023 and my husband soon after, I became the sole provider for my two sons, ages 14 and 8. With no family or friends nearby to help, every day brings new challenges as I try to balance work, household responsibilities, and caring for my children—especially my youngest, who has disabilities and behavioral struggles at school. Despite having a full-time job, I often miss work to support my 8-year-old, and I’ve tried many ways to earn extra income online and through side jobs, but haven’t found success.
Recently, I ran into more car trouble after already spending a significant amount on repairs. Now, I don’t have the funds to finish the needed work, and my credit score is low from funeral expenses for my daughter and husband. I’m working hard to improve my credit, but it doesn’t help me get a new vehicle right now. I make too much to qualify for food stamps, so groceries and everyday needs are a constant worry. As the sole provider, I have no other resources or support to turn to.
I would be extremely grateful for anyone who helps or supports my family in this time of need. I’ve always been the type to help others, and asking for help isn’t easy for me—but sometimes you have to put your pride aside to do what’s right for your family. My children always come first, and I’m determined to get over this hurdle, get my finances in order, and find ways to maintain a steady income. Your support would mean the world to us.
