Bryson Crainick

I would like to raise funds for my father. He is the bravest man I know. Before my father was even born, he faced tragedy—his own father died by suicide. Despite growing up without him, my dad worked hard his entire life. He worked several jobs over the years, including at Kroger in Litchfield, Illinois, before it closed. His last job was as a custodian at Gillespie High School, where he worked faithfully for 18 years. In 2019, my father lost his sister. Soon after, he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). He fought hard and thankfully went into remission. From 2020 to 2026, he was doing well and trying to enjoy life again. Then more heartbreak came. Around 2023 or 2024, he lost his brother. And now, recently, our world has changed again. My father suffered a major heart attack. His aorta became infected, and doctors had to replace it with a biological one because they said he was too old for a permanent replacement. As of today, he is currently on a ventilator after surgery. My father is the best person in my life. He has always been the bravest man I have ever known, the best dad anyone could ask for, and someone who has always put others before himself. He means more to me than words can explain. Our family is now facing serious medical debt from years of hospital visits, cancer treatments, and now this major heart surgery. I know I may be asking for a lot, but I want to give my father the best life possible for whatever time he has left. He deserves peace, comfort, and support after everything he has endured.
