Today, I am battling metastatic breast cancer while also living with brittle diabetes, one of the most unpredictable and dangerous forms of diabetes. Together, these illnesses have transformed even the simplest parts of my life into challenges that require constant strength, vigilance and determination. Every day feels like a balancing act between 2 life threatening conditions. Cancer treatments leave me physically and emotionally exhausted, while brittle diabetes demands my attention every moment of every day. My blood sugar levels can rise or fall without warning, sometimes leading to severe hypoglycemia and grand mal seizures. Many people see the diagnosis, but they don't see the reality behind it. They don't see the countless medical appointments, medications, and sleepless nights. They don't see the pain that makes ordinary tasks difficult, the exhaustion that can make getting through the day feel overwhelming, or the fear that arrives quietly in the middle of the night when I am alone with my thoughts. My life does move forward every day measured by tests, blood sugar readings, and difficult decisions. The emotional weight affects not only me but also the people who love me and worry about me every day. Yet despite everything I continue to fight. I fight because I love my family. I fight because I still have hope. I fight because every day I wake up believing there may still be more memories to make, more moments to share and more life to live. Today I am asking for help. The financial burden of managing both illnesses has become overwhelming. Donations will help cover medical expenses, medications, diabetic supplies, travel costs for treatments, and most importantly alternative treatment. Your kindness, encouragement, and support reminds me that I am not facing this journey alone. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read my story, for your prayers, your generosity, and for helping me continue to fight.
