Hi all!!! Just wanted to jump on and give a quick update to you all. Gary and I want to thank you all once again for your prayers, dedication, love, and support. Without your support and prayers and the faithfulness of God, this journey would've been impossible to navigate. We are in a much better place financially now , thanks to your support. We are keeping this gofundme going for communication purposes, so do not feel obligated to keep financial support going. We have been awed by your love and commitment. You all have truly been God's hands to us and we love and thank you all!!! Here we are, 14 months post grand mal seizure, intubation for 3 days, to find out on a repeat MRI, that the reason for the seizure was a rapidly growing glioblastoma in my left frontal lobe. I am coming up on 1 year post surgical removal in the beginning of October. I was wearing the Optune device, which is a tumor treating field, but had to unfortunately discontinue use due to skin reaction to the adhesive which became intolerable. Maybe I will be able after the fall allergens die down, pick it up again, but my skin hates spring, fall, and adhesives (what can I say). I am still doing a 5 day oral chemo cycle every 28 days. I just finished my 8th round. Scans have been clean, praise God!!! In between appointments, scans, and blood work, our summer consisted of gardening, hummingbirds, sourdough baking, pickling, and Gary managed to add an 8 x 12 extension to our existing deck with the help of his grandson and brother, which added access to gardening and has made it feel so much less claustrophobic. While I get days where I'm just exhausted, other days I'm booming with energy. God is good all the time and is with us in the fire and in the flood!!!
