<div>I am Jeff Metcalf. My son, <strong>Austin Metcalf, was tragically stabbed today at a school track meet</strong>. They were not able to save him. He was a bright young man with a great future ahead of him. He was a leader of men. His smile would light up the room. His passion for football was unbelievable. Voted team MVP this past season and carried a 4.0 GPA. He was looking forward to taking his game to the next level. His commitment, dedication, leadership, and sheer grit made him rise to the level of success that he desired. His twin brother, Hunter, played beside him. We will all remember him for the way he impacted others' lives. I love you forever, son. It's not goodbye, it's see you later. God will take care of us till we meet again. RIP. Love, Dad

Honoring Austin Metcalf: Help His Family Heal

<div>On the morning of May 21st our world changed forever. Liam tragically lost his life in a car accident after sliding on a slick, wet road and hitting a tree. He was only 17 years old.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Liam Harward, son of Rand and Aysha Harward was deeply loved by everyone who knew him. He was kind, hardworking, respectful, and full of life. His parents waited and prayed for years before finally being blessed with him and his brothers, and they poured their hearts into raising him to be a good man. Liam was involved in church, scouts, swim team, track, theater, was homeschooled by parents who loved him fiercely, and grew into the kind of young man people were proud and delighted to know.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This loss is unimaginable for his family. No parent should ever have to bury their child.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses and to ease some of the financial burden during this devastating time. <strong>Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean so much to Liam’s family.</strong> If you are unable to give, please consider sharing this page and keeping his parents, brothers, and loved ones in your prayers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for loving Liam and for surrounding this family with support during the hardest moment of their lives.

<div>On January 24, 2026, Alex Jeffrey Pretti, a Minneapolis resident and American citizen was executed on the streets of Minneapolis by ICE agents.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>This fundraiser is intended to support the loved ones he leaves behind with immediate and ongoing needs. Because details are still unfolding, and to ensure the money goes to the right person, funds will not be distributed until we can verify next-of-kin and identify the appropriate family representative to manage anything raised.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>If, for any reason, the funds cannot be transferred to Alex’s family, we will direct the total amount to the Immigrant Defense Project, a nonprofit that provides litigation, advocacy, and community-defense resources to help immigrants defend their rights and fight deportation.

<div>Many of you have inquired of Dr. Michael Zollicoffer's condition after his surgery Friday, January 30th. I spoke with Dr. Zollicoffer last night ( 1/31/26) and he was in excruciating pain as a result of the 10 hour surgical procedure. I am happy to report the surgeons felt everything went according to plan. Dr. Z is on his way towards recovery and hopes to be back on his feet soon. He needs rest and time to recover. I hope to bring you a video message from him in the next day or two. He hopes to be able to take calls in the next few days and perhaps limited visits. However he is NOT in a position to have either at this time as he allows his body to heal. I will continue to update his status on this and other platforms. Your continued prayers are welcomed and necessary. It goes without saying Dr. Z will not be practicing for sometime and his need for subsidy will continue to exist. He will not ask so I am on his behalf, one dollar ($1.00 ) from one thousand or whatever you contribute is welcomed.

<div>This is a GoFundMe set up to help the Schemitz family during this horrific time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On June 3rd, two women walking on the sidewalk in front of Mr. Chubby's Wings on A1A in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida were brutally attacked from behind. The attacker approached the two women from the rear and my co-worker's daughter, Madison Schemitz was attacked, suffering serious injury. Madison's mother, Jacki Roge, attempted to fight off the attacker suffering serious injuries as well.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Two brave men pulling into Mr. Chubby's parking lot witnessed the attack and rushed to intervene. One of those local heroes, Kennedy Armstrong, tackled the attacker and suffered injuries to his hand while attempting to subdue the assailant.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The other hero involved, James Stepp, told Action News Jax what they witnessed :
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>“Right when we got out of the car, we heard a woman screaming and so we rushed over to see what the situation was,” he said. “The one guy was mounted over the other woman, and it was from the backside, so my buddy tackled him off, got him off of them.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A large section of the parking lot was roped off with crime scene tape and evidence markers were next to food and clothing items.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>“It was very physical, we had known at that point something not so cool was going on,” he said.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please donate below to help raise funds for Madison Schemitz and her mother, Jacki Rose. Madison has been in and out of surgery since the attack occurred.

Medical Expenses for Madison, PVB Stabbing Victim

<div>An update from Jay Armstrong, Kennedy's father -
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When Kennedy was first injured saving Madison and Jacki I was
</div>
<div>not aware of how severe his injuries were. Griffin Hoegee one of my employees at Barbara Jean's On The Water was kind enough to start a Gofund Me in Kennedy's name. My initial thought being a proud father l immediately announce to the local media that it was not necessary because He had insurance to cover it. Little did I know that over the next year Kennedy would have four surgeries, missed 5 or 6 months of work and still does not have use of a portion of his hand.
</div>
<div>The deductibles, co-pays for physical therapy and the out of net work expense I did not
</div>
<div>anticipate. After four surgeries the incredible surgeon referred Kennedy to a doctor at Mayo. The out of network deductible to even talk with them was going to be $5000. Kennedy has now decided to go to school starting in January to eventually become a paramedic. Therefore I have talked with Griffin and ask him to update the go fund me in Kennedy's name. I'm hoping in the future there will be new technologies that may revive the nerves in his hand so he regains full use.

The Theiss Family was hit hard by Covid-19 in July, culminating with a week long stay in the hospital for Leeann. And, there's no easy way to put this...medical bills are expensive. The absolutely amazing news is that Leeann is well on the way to a full recovery. She received outstanding care at St. Vincent's Hospital and we are still extraordinarily relieved and grateful that the combination of medicines and blood plasma she received were effective in helping her body fight this devastating illness. We know that many were not so lucky. <br /><br />But, it's only been a few days and already the medical bills are starting to roll in. It is our prayer that paying for the life saving care Leeann received would not set our family back financially for years to come. The love, support and prayer our family received during this difficult time was quite honestly over whelming. People have been asking, what can I do to help. I struggle to find the words , but here it is: you can donate to help off set the mountain of hospital bills that are coming our way in the next few weeks. Every little bit helps and we appreciate anything you would be willing to contribute.

While driving down the road, her RV stalled and caught fire. She was able to get her and her dog out safely, and thankfully had her driver’s license and debit card in her pocket, but everything else was lost including her instruments, which were her livelihood.<br /><br />Maggie is a US Navy veteran who served during Desert Storm. She survives month to month on a small disability check and busks when she is able to help get through the month. She was homeless for many years before being fortunate enough to secure this RV just a couple months ago. She was only able to afford liability insurance.<br /><br />We are hoping to secure enough funds to get her a used RV and replace her violin and ukulele, along with clothing and basic necessities for her and her dog. Any amount will help.
