Almost 12 years ago, we brought home a dog who would become the heart of our family. For 11 years and 8 months, he has been by our side through every season of life. Before we had children, he was our whole world—our first “baby,” our companion through everything. As our family grew, so did his role. Now, with our kids being 9 and 10, he’s been their lifelong best friend. He’s been there for bedtime cuddles, backyard play, tough days, and joyful moments. He’s part of their childhood in a way that can never be replaced. Today, he’s facing a serious medical issue that requires urgent treatment. We are heartbroken and doing everything we can, but the cost of care is more than we can carry on our own. We’re not ready to say goodbye. He still has so much love to give, and we want to give him every chance to stay with the family he’s always protected and loved so deeply.
