Just one year ago,my husband Dan Savage was a hardworking truck driver who took pride in providing for his family,He worked tirelessly, bought our flat and paid the mortgage, and looked forward to the future we were building together, Everything changed in June 2025 when Dan suffered a major heart failure , Since then ,he has been living with heart failure and facing a long and difficult road to recovery .On the 2 June 2026 ,he underwent another surgery at the Liverpool heart hospital, he waits another valve surgery in couple of months . Dan's condition has left him unable to stand or walk for long periods. The physical challenges are difficult enough, but the emotional impact has been equally devastating. As a proud and hardworking man,he struggles with losing his independence and worries constantly about our future.Seeing him distressed has been heartbreaking. I was working when Dan first became ill,but as his health deteriorated,I became his full time carer, While I am greatful to care for him,the loss of income has placed us under enormous financial pressures, We are doing everything we can to keep going, but the mortgage still needs to be paid, household bills continue to arrive, and Dan requires a special diet to support his heart conditions and recovery, With very little from family support,we are asking for help, we hoping to raise £6,000 to help cover: Mortgage and housing cost_£3,000 Essential household bills _£1,200 Expenses _£800 A comfortable sofa to support Dan, recovery and daily comfort _£600 A television to help keep his spirit up during days at home. Every donation no matter how small will help relieve some of the financial burden and all Dan to focus on what matters most:his health and recovery If you unable to donate, please consider sharing our story.Your kindness, support and prayers means more to us than wordscan express. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for helping us through the most challenging period of our lives. wWith heartfelt appreciation, Martha &Dan Savage
