Our family is heartbroken to share the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Phyllis Van Thuyne. She was married to Michael Van Thuyne for almost 34 years and mother to Grace and Christopher Van Thuyne. She had a difficult battle with Alzheimer's for 3 years and suffered a heart attack in her final days. Phyllis passed peacefully in her sleep on May 6, 2026.
We are asking for help to ease some of the financial burden during this time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated and will go directly toward these costs. We wish to give her the memorial she deserves to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes.
Please join us in remembering and honoring her life. A viewing will be held at John F. Givnish Funeral Home (10975 Academy Road Philadelphia, PA 19154) from 6-8pm on Tuesday, May 12th.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 13th. A viewing from 10-11am will be held at St. Christopher Church (13305 Proctor Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19116) followed by a mass at 11am.

The Prayer of St. Francis de Sales
Be at peace.
Do not look forward in fear to the changes of life; rather look to them with full hope as they arise.
God, whose very own you are, will deliver you from out of them. He has kept you hitherto, and He will lead you safely through all things; and when you cannot stand it, God will bury you in his arms.
Do not fear what may happen tomorrow; the same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you then and every day.
He will either shield you from suffering, or give you unfailing strength to bear it.
Be at peace, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imagination.
