What Thompson cares about

There are hardships we face sometimes in life that can leave us in pieces we must take care of each other in a way that promotes a real difference and hope lost

My name is Nate, and I am reaching out during one of the most difficult times of my life. At 29 years old, I have already lost my mother, grandparents, uncles, and cousins—all of whom are buried together in Thacker Memorial Cemetery on Pompey Hill Road. The family home that once held our memories has been destroyed, and what remains of our belongings is still there, left vulnerable after the property was ransacked. I feel like an outcast in my own community, unable to find help or support where I am. On top of this, I am a father of three beautiful children who have been taken from me, and I don’t get to see them. The pain of being separated from my kids, combined with the overwhelming loss of my family and home, has left me struggling to find hope. I have worked as a chef for the past five years, but I recently lost my job, making it even harder to change my situation. Despite everything, I am determined to rebuild my life and create a safe, loving home for my children. The funds raised will help me restore my family’s property, including the mobile homes and the house my grandfather built, and protect the resting place of my loved ones. They will also allow me to hire legal support so I can fight to see my children again and cover the costs of moving back home. I am truly grateful for any support, love, or prayers you can offer. If you choose to help, you are giving me a chance to find purpose again, to be closer to God, and to reunite with my children. Thank you for believing in me and for being part of my journey toward healing and hope.

Help Louise Rebuild After Mold and Contractor Scam

Louise Thompson is a 72-year-old widow and lifelong seamstress from near Lakeland, Florida. For over forty years, she worked tirelessly to support her family, raising three children alone after losing her husband at a young age. Her modest single-wide mobile home was her sanctuary—a place she kept spotless, decorated with lace curtains she sewed herself, family photos on every wall, and a small garden of tomatoes and marigolds out front. Louise was known in her community for her kindness, mending neighbors’ clothes for free and bringing casseroles to those in need. Last summer, heavy rains caused leaks in Louise’s aging roof. Black mold quickly spread through her bathroom, bedroom, closet, and onto her clothes and furniture. The musty smell made her chronic coughing worse, and her doctor warned that the mold was aggravating her bronchitis and heart condition. Desperate to fix her home, Louise responded to an ad for disaster repairs. The contractor seemed trustworthy and quoted a large sum for repairs and mold remediation. Louise, trusting and hopeful, wired her life savings—money she had set aside for emergencies. Tragically, the contractor vanished after doing only minimal work, leaving her home unlivable and her health at risk. Now, Louise faces the loss of her home, her belongings, and her sense of security. She urgently needs safe housing and help replacing essentials lost to mold. Your support will help Louise rebuild her life and find relief after this traumatic experience. Please consider donating or sharing her story—every bit of kindness brings her closer to safety and peace. Let’s help this valuable lady put these hard times behind her and look forward to brighter days.
