A dream is slowly becoming reality in Jokero Village, Uganda. Together with Wimbo of Africa Children Ministries, we are building a primary school for vulnerable children who currently have very limited access to education. The foundation and walls of the first classroom block are already completed. But now construction has reached a critical point: The school urgently needs a roof. Without roofing, the heavy rains will weaken and damage the walls that have already been built. There is also a real risk that the unfinished structure will not meet government safety requirements, which could stop the project completely. We cannot let this happen. A roof means: * protecting everything that has already been built * allowing construction to continue * bringing this school one step closer to opening for the children The total amount needed for timber, iron sheets, nails, labour and all roofing materials is: €4,867 This may sound like a big amount, but together we can make it possible. Every donation helps: * €10 helps buy roofing nails * €25 helps buy timber * €50 helps buy part of an iron sheet * every contribution brings us closer to a safe roof These children are waiting for a school, a future, and an opportunity. This Easter, we would love to give something special to a group of children in Uganda. At Wimbo of Africa Children Ministries, 46 children are supported, including 20 who live in the children’s home. Many of them have lost one or both parents and depend on the care and support they receive there. For most of these children, Easter is just like any other day. But with your help, we can make it a moment of joy, warmth and togetherness. We want to provide a special Easter meal for all the children — something they normally don’t get: a proper meal, something sweet, and a day where they can simply feel happy and cared for.
