Luis Albert Ortega known to the nightlife and entertainment industry as "Pretty Lou" the hottest host in NYC is now relying on his fans and supports to help him and his family during the most vulnerable time in his life. After overcoming his recent battle with LGL Leukemia, he is now diagnosed with MDS Cancer, and faces another bout with cancer of the bone marrow.

With God's grace still favoring Lou, he has already found a bone marrow match and will now undergo his rigorous transplant surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital in NYC. After the surgery is completed, he will receive another treatment of chemotherapy that his body had recently experienced. Due to his overwhelming medical costs and his inability to work during this treatment and recovery process, we the family and his wife are asking his friends, supporters, entertainment professionals and compassionate donors to step in and contribute to help Lou through his health crisis.

Lou has decided to continue documenting his process so that the public can understand the obstacles associated with cancer treatment and recovery. His estimated recovery time is 8 months to 1 year before Lou would be at full capacity. We ask that you continue to pray for Lou and his family during this difficult time and thank you for your generosity and support.

Pretty Lou "The HeavyHitter"

Dear Friends and Family,

We are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of our beloved Husband/Father/Grandfather/Great-Grandfather, Vincent Albertis Rogers, Sr. He was not only a survivor but a hardworking provider who dedicated his life to supporting his family. His presence was a beacon of love and wisdom, touching the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. His passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever live on in our hearts.

Mr. Rogers or Como, as some would call him, fought bravely against numerous health challenges, including diabetes that he’s lived with for decades. Sadly, his fight became even more challenging when he developed a severe infection in his foot in 2018, that lead to multiple amputations. Then, battled congestive heart failure, and in 2022, was diagnosed with nasal cancer. He had treatment for it and everything looked okay, but it came back late last year with a vengeance, and started to spread. He also had osteomyelitis of the bone and a mild stroke, which stopped him from being able to walk, amongst other things that someone who is independent can do. With all of that being said, he remained a pillar of strength and resilience for all of us. However, despite the best efforts of his medical team, the infection and cancer worsened, and combined with his existing conditions, it ultimately took his life at 72 years of age, on June 28th, 2024.

His sudden passing has left our family devastated. Unfortunately, the financial burden of his medical and now his funeral expenses weighs heavily on our family. We are reaching out to our community for support during this difficult time. Your contributions will help us give him the dignified farewell he deserves and alleviate some of the financial strain on our grieving family.

Our grandfather Vincent Albertis Rogers, Sr was known for loving his family like no other, he loved music, the Yankees, and his home island of Anguilla in the Caribbean. Now, we humbly ask for your generosity in return to lay him to rest. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in helping us honor his memory and celebrate his extraordinary life. If you're unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your friends and loved ones to help spread the word.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, kindness, generosity, support, and most of all, prayers during this time of mourning.

With deepest gratitude,
The Rogers Family.
