<div>As a mixed-indigenous, chronically ill baddie disabled by ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis, Eli is no longer able to work like they used to. Having to labor beyond their capacity triggers terrible "post-exertion malaise", an awful condition that advances their ME/CFS. This is life-threatening.

<div>With this dwindling ability to sell their labor under the nightmare of colonialism, racial capitalism, and eugenics, combined with the hard reality of no government assistance, no savings, no family or care team, increasing medical expenses, and a 35 year old truck that's dangerous to drive, Eli is truly hanging by a thread. URGENT: Chronically ill community steward needs our support!

<div>“Help us help trees help us!” Arboretum Detroit (ARB) has transformed 38 abandoned lots into 4 lovely public parks and a free tree nursery. A passion project of husband-and-wife team Birch &amp; Kinga, ARB has removed tons of garbage, planted over 500 native trees, plants &amp; flowers, installed accessible pathways &amp; signage, gifted over 500 trees to neighbors, &amp; hosted many free events – and now they need our help! Funds are running out for ARB's devoted park maintenance staff. Without community support, layoffs are imminent, and the Kemps will be overwhelmed by this workload.

<div>On July 6, 2024, 36-year-old Sonya Massey was taken away from her family. Officers responded to Sonya’s 911 call for a prowler in her backyard, and shortly thereafter shot her in the face and killed her after she said, “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus." In mere moments, Sonya’s family lost a mother, a daughter and sister.

<div>Sonya is remembered as caring and loving mother to her two children, a 17-year-old son and a 15-year-old daughter. Sonya loved cooking, doing hair, nurturing her children, and spending time with her family. She was also a devoted church member.

<div>The outpouring of love and support has been tremendous, but our family needs financial support as we fight for justice. Our family will likely need mental health counseling and support, money for travel costs and money for household support as we miss work to pursue justice for Sonya Massey.
