Hops and Hogs
A Veteran-Benefiting Nonprofit Mobile Biker Experience
Executive Summary
Hops and Hogs (formally Heidi and Ray’s Hops and Harleys) is a registered 501©(3)
nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting veterans through a unique, mobile
biker-lifestyle experience. Founded by Ray, a highly decorated Special Ops Marine and
combat veteran, and Heidi, an experienced motorcycle accessories sales professional,
the organization aims to create a welcoming, rustic environment for bikers along
major motorcycle routes and rallies, culminating annually at the Sturgis Motorcycle
Rally.
We are seeking a startup loan of 25, 000to
50,000 to fund Phase 1 of our operations: the
acquisition and outfitting of a mobile truck (similar to a Snap-on tool truck) converted
into a rustic, homey mobile taproom and motorcycle accessories shop. This mobile
unit will travel across all 50 states, providing a place for riders to relax, enjoy a cold
beer, test motorcycle accessories, and connect with fellow veterans and enthusiasts.
All proceeds will benefit veteran causes, aligning with our core mission.
Company Description & Mission
Our Mission
To provide a unique, mobile sanctuary for motorcycle enthusiasts and veterans,
offering high-quality accessories, craft beer, and camaraderie, while dedicating our
proceeds to supporting veteran causes and charities.
The Concept
Hops and Hogs operates at the intersection of the thriving motorcycle culture and the
growing craft beer movement, all underpinned by a strong philanthropic mission.
Phase 1 (The Mobile Experience): A fully customized, rustic-themed mobile
truck that travels to major motorcycle runs, rallies, and events nationwide. The
truck will serve as a mobile lounge where bikers can grab a cold beer, socialize,
and try out motorcycle accessories before purchasing.
Phase 2 (The Biker Lodge - Future Expansion): A permanent or semi-
permanent roadside destination inspired by classic Route 66 motels (akin to the
“Cozy Cone Motel” concept). This destination will offer cabin-style lodging, a
taproom, and a full Harley accessories shop, serving as a haven for riders on long
journeys.
Founders & Management
The strength of Hops and Hogs lies in the passion, experience, and complementary
skills of its founders. Ray and Heidi were introduced by a mutual dear friend, Mr. Guy
Arnold (aka “Warlock”), who brought them together and remains a guiding inspiration
for their journey. Their first time bringing their talents together was at a motorcycle
swap meet in Long Beach, and since then, they have dedicated their lives to this vision.
Ray – Co-Founder & Director of Operations
Ray is a highly decorated Special Ops Marine who served four years in combat. Hailing
from New Jersey, he brings discipline, leadership, and a deep understanding of the
veteran experience to the organization. Professionally, Ray is a skilled motorcycle
mechanic and the owner of The Shop Motorcycle and STV Repair. His technical
expertise ensures that all motorcycle accessories offered are of the highest quality and
practicality for riders.
Heidi – Co-Founder & Director of Sales and Experience
Heidi brings extensive experience in the motorcycle industry, specifically in the sales of
accessories for all types of motorcycles. Her background ensures that Hops and Hogs
curates a selection of products that bikers actually want and need. Heidi’s expertise in
customer relations and event sales is crucial for managing the mobile retail and
hospitality aspects of the business.
Together, Ray and Heidi have weathered personal and professional challenges,
roughing it mostly but never losing sight of this goal. It meant more to both of them
than anything else. Thanks to the foundation built by their connection through
Warlock, they have overcome tough losses and are ready to execute this vision. Their
authentic connection to both the veteran community and the biker lifestyle provides a
significant competitive advantage.
Market Analysis
The motorcycle rally and event market in the United States is robust. Events like theSturgis Motorcycle Rally draw hundreds of thousands of attendees annually [1].
Furthermore, the veteran population and their supporters represent a highly loyal
demographic that actively seeks out and supports veteran-owned and veteran-
benefiting businesses [2].
By combining a mobile retail experience (motorcycle accessories) with a hospitality
element (craft beer/taproom), Hops and Hogs creates a unique value proposition. The
mobile nature of the business allows it to capture peak demand by traveling to where
the customers are, rather than waiting for customers to come to a fixed location.
Use of Funds
The requested loan amount of 25, 000to50,000 will be allocated entirely toward the
launch of Phase 1 (The Mobile Experience).

Financial Projections & Repayment Plan
As a registered 501©(3) nonprofit, Hops and Hogs will generate revenue through two
primary streams:
1. Retail Sales: High-margin motorcycle accessories.
2. Hospitality Sales: Beer and beverage sales at events.
Because the business is mobile, overhead costs (rent, utilities) are significantly lower
than a traditional brick-and-mortar establishment. Revenue will peak during the
summer motorcycle rally season (May through September). The organization is
committed to maintaining a debt service coverage ratio that ensures timely loan
repayment while maximizing the funds available for veteran charities.
We intend to seek funding through SBA-backed programs, specifically those tailored
for veteran-owned businesses, such as the SBA Express program, or through
specialized veteran nonprofit lenders [4].
Conclusion
Hops and Hogs is more than a business; it is a mission-driven community hub on
wheels. Led by a decorated combat veteran and an experienced motorcycle industry
professional, this nonprofit is uniquely positioned to succeed in the lucrative
motorcycle event market while making a tangible difference in the lives of veterans.
We respectfully request your partnership in bringing this vision to life.
