Hi, my name is Pi - Mom who has struggled with constant pain whole adulthood. 

Help remove excess skin from my arms – from pain and shame to healthy life. 
 
Goal: €10,000 (€5,000 per arm for bilateral brachioplasty surgery in Finland)

I’ve done so much and consistent work towards healthier lifestyle and lost 40 kg (88 lbs) for the sake of my health and well-being. Although my clothing size is now L–XL, my arms are painfully measuring as XXXL due to excess skin. My skin condition prevents normal shrinking. I want to be able to help others with similar struggles. It has been steps towards surviving this situation. 
 
This problem is causing pain and is affecting my every move. As a single mom I realize the importance of my health, so I continue my better and healthier habits. My skin chafes, swells, and causes constant pain – I can’t find clothes that fit, I can’t wear regular jackets or tops, and I don’t feel whole. When I use jackets and shirts, this excess skin forms painful formations into my armpits and prevents proper blood circulation into my arms. My upper body now *limits the freedom I thought I had* earned after my weight loss. I need to stay healthy for many people. But cannot ignore that it all starts with me being healthy for my own sake first. After that it can be multiplied. 
 
Private surgery is my. only. option. , as this is not covered by public healthcare. Every euro brings me closer to relief and the chance to live without daily pain and shame. Actually on my case it doesn't really matter what scars I get from surgery if you understand my point. It is just to get surgery here in Finland to get rid of those health compromising and pain causing thingies. If you need more information and documentation, let me know. 
 
I love swimming, but it’s very difficult with these arms. I choose to swim during off-peak hours, when the chafing and my slow swimming is more manageable. Even the doctor told me they’ve never seen a case like mine. 
 
I will provide more details about the project or even create a site where I share updates, if you’d like. And about my further goals which is -30kg within 6 months.
