 Three months ago, my mother was deported, leaving our family without her support and care. My father is blind, and with several children in our household who have disabilities or medical needs, providing for our family has become extremely difficult.

 We are doing everything we can to survive. I try to earn money by washing windows at gas stations and taking any small jobs I can find. I’m only 15, but I feel a responsibility to do whatever I can to help my family have food, necessities, and a safe place to live.

 Our family includes my 20-year-old sister, Irene, who has a disability; my 18-year-old brother, Herson; Claudia, who is 10 and neurodivergent; and Jacob, who is only 5 years old and has asthma. I am also neurodivergent.

 We aren’t asking for luxuries. We are asking for help with the basics—food, housing, utilities, clothing, transportation, medical needs, and other everyday necessities while our family works through this difficult situation.

<div>Today I met a 89-year-old woman named Nona.
</div>

<div>I asked her if a diamond ring belonged to her.
</div>

<div>Even though she could have easily said yes, she chose to tell the truth and said it wasn't hers.
</div>

<div>To reward her honesty, I gave her $1,000.

<div>She immediately began to tear up as she shared her story.

<div>Nona recently lost her husband after they were unable to afford to repair the air conditioning in their home during extreme heat paired with his health conditions. Since then, she's been forced to move out of the house they shared, and she's still struggling to afford basic necessities, including keeping a cool place to live. Nona is currently living in hotel rooms.

<div>And yet, even after everything she's been through and with $60 to her name, she still chose honesty.

Help 89 Year Old Grandma Survive Through Crisis ❤️

<div>This is my worst fear, having to ask for help. I’m usually the person who pushes through quietly and figures things out on my own, but for the first time in my life I have hit a depth I can't swim out of on my own.

<div>I was robbed the morning after Christmas, my vehicle was broken into and everything inside was stolen. In a moment when I was already giving my last and trying to stay afloat, I lost nearly my entire livelihood. My camera, a loaner laptop, my passport, identification, and other essential devices are gone. Some of these items didn’t even belong to me, and I’m now responsible for replacing them.

<div>Unfortunately, insurance isn’t covering this loss. Local cameras turned out to be fake, and the police have told me there’s nothing more that can be done.

<div>As a digital creative, the equipment that was stolen isn’t just “stuff”, it’s how I work, create, and survive. I had these tools in my car out of necessity. Without them, I’m unable to do the work that supports me.

Rebuilding After Christmas Robbery

<div>Im a husband and father of 3 daughters. I'm just trying to live a simple life and get home from work without being harassed by MS Trooper E31. Please help me to fight against false charges brought against me and also an appeal on false charges. <p>Hello, My name is Kiara. My older sister Soncerae and I need help with our mom's Breast Cancer treatment. On May 13, 2021 she was diagnosed with Triple Negative stage 2B Breast Cancer.  She began Chemotherapy a month or so after. She seemed to be doing fine and dealing with the chemotherapy treatments the best way she could. She was still able to walk and walk. As well as feed and dress herself. In November 2021 her health took a turn for the worse. Her last chemotherapy session had a negative effect on her.  A nurse, new to the cancer treatment center, administered her meds different from the standardized chemotherapy regime she was used to receiving.  An upbeat independent woman with a sense of humor and a great personality can no longer stand or walk.  Her mental health is declining and she can barely talk. She is in California with my sister Soncerae.  While the rest of our family and support is on the east coast. <br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/57436693_1641500253937483_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="57436693_1641500253937483_r.jpeg" /><br /><br /><br />Soncerae has been her sole caregiver. She administers her medication, including insulin, while also completing blood pressure &amp; glucose tests. She manages her care plans according to her physicians’ instructions. Changes her undergarments, handles her personal grooming and hygiene. Tests for muscle weakness, bedsores, and any signs of infections.  While also caring for my 3-year-old nephew, Justice. My niece, Dominique, 21, works full time and overtime, currently donating her entire paycheck to the welfare of her Grandmother. The responsibility has caused Soncerae to slice her work schedule in half.  Which in turn limits us financially.  Through the holidays Kathie took several trips to the emergency room only to be told that nothing was wrong. After her first visit to the emergency room of 2022, by her doctor's request, our mother has now been admitted to the very hospital that rejected our claims that something was wrong.  She was supposed to start radiation in the next few weeks. She will be unable to do so if she is not stabilized. She is also suffering from Diabetes, IBS &amp; Dementia. She is in constant pain because of nerve damage and muscle spasms. <br /><br />For the past 3 weeks, a physical therapist and nurse have visited their home once a week to care for our mother. We have been advised by those individuals and the paramedics who transported our mother to the hospital that our mother now needs round-the-clock home care. In addition to the costs of her cancer treatment, the cost of an assisted living facility is extremely expensive. Not just in the California area. <br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/57436693_1641500281344069_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="57436693_1641500281344069_r.jpeg" /><br /><br />At this point, it feels like my world just turned up side down. I never thought I would EVER say that my mom has breast cancer nor would I be creating a gofundme to assist. She is MY HEART and my BEST FRIEND. She is also a loving Mom, Grandma, Sister, Auntie, Cousin, God Mother, Babysitter and Friend to anyone who can say the same. There has never been a time to where she declined to help someone in need. In need for love, conversation, guidance, advice or a lending hand. I am sincerely asking anyone who can help my mom BEAT THIS CANCER you will forever be in my heart and mind.
