Enduring four months of relentless conflict, I have witnessed the loss of dear friends, the destruction of my home, the disruption of my education at university, and even the collapse of a business venture I had recently initiated.

<div>Yet, amidst these trials, one experience is the one that burdens my heart the most: the battle my mother, <strong>Ihsan</strong>, faces against <strong>cancer</strong>. At 40 years old, she grapples with a <strong>malignant tumor in the nasopharynx</strong>, a relentless adversary that respects neither age nor dignity. Scheduled for a crucial MRI imaging on the 8th of October following a rigorous course of chemotherapy, her hope for treatment beyond Gaza's confines was crushed by the rigors of occupation.

<li>I am Salem from Gaza, married, 37 years old, and have 4 children. After I lost my house and my family's five-story house in the Gaza Strip due to the barbaric Israeli war, a number of my family members, Mahmoud and Nidal, my cousins, were killed. My uncle and his son were killed. 17 of my relatives were killed without fault as a result of the war and indiscriminate Israeli bombing. Now we are displaced in tents, and most of my family members are spread between the city of Nuseirat and the city of Deir al-Balah in the southern Gaza Strip, and some of them are in shelter centers and refugee tents. We suffer from hunger, cold, heat, and insects. Deadly diseases and a dangerous liver epidemic are spreading due to the lack of hygiene and the provision of healthy food and drink, and the risk of death at any moment due to the entry of the Israeli occupation into the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

The tent we are living in is surrounded in sewage, because there isn't any bathroom facilities. I can see how it's eating my children alive, killing them slowly. This war has left us with nothing, bodies without souls . As parents we are heart broken that we can't provide for ourselves or our children. In the winter we suffered from the cold and rain , now its summer, we are suffocating from the hot unhygienic air . The air is full if dust from the bombards , the smell of sewage water is worse, because of the hot temperatures. My children are constantly sick , because of the toxic environment we live in .

<div>Hello, I’m friends with Emmanuel who’s the director of Peace African Hope Organisation.
</div>
<div>I’m organising this fundraiser to support this team and their work.
</div>
<div>This fundraiser will be directed to getting perinatal care for women and babies, if you do not know what perinatal care is then here’s a short text about it.

<div>Perinatal is the term used for from when a person is pregnant up until a year after birth.
</div>
<div>This fundraiser will help take care of needs to the many displaced people in the care of Peace African Hope Org.
</div>

</div>
<div>Peace African Hope Org is an organisation in eastern DRC - the Democratic Republic of The Congo, they house refugees.
</div>
<div>They help refugees get back up on their feet, provide food, healthcare and education if needed.
</div>
<div>Everyone in this refugee camp finds a way to give back to the community once they have gotten back up on their feet.
</div>

<div>Due to this organisation being volunteer led, they rely on donations and help from outside so please join us in supporting this important work.
</div>
<div>Due to recent attacks and several bombings that has been happening, Peace African Hope Org now houses over 2500 people and they have 800 women who are pregnant and 100 newborn babies due to the rapes happening at the border.

<div>The goal is to raise 220 000 to support the women in the camp and find a way to do this long term.
</div>

<div><strong>The money will go to:</strong>

<li>Sanitary products &amp; diapers.
</li>
<li>Food, formula and vitamins.
</li>
<li>Clothes &amp; shoes both for the children and the mothers.
</li>
<li>Covering medical care, like medicine and vaccines.
</li>
<li>Medical care for HIV patients and other sexually transmitted diseases.
</li>
</ul>

<div>If we have any money left over, the team have been eying a plot of land they want to buy where they can plant and grow their own food.
</div>
<div>The land will be run by volunteers and the women in the shelter.
</div>
