 First off I wanted to thank you for all of your prayers, support and well wishes. They are much needed. Life has forever changed for our family in an instant.
</div>

 As you know my wife, son and my son’s friend were out here in Maui for a wedding. I was unable to go because my younger boys started school this last Monday. Brayden, my son just graduated high school, and was waiting to be shipped off to Army boot camp. His MOS would have been “drone specialist.” He is to turn 18 next week. His friend just graduated as well from same high school. During their stay, the boys went down to the hotel pool to hang out with some friends they had met. Brayden and his friend started talking about football and right after the conversation, Brayden decided to dive into the pool head first. He misjudged the depth of the pool. He mentioned something about the lighting being low and it was dark outside. As Brayden dove, he struck the bottom of the pool with his head. His friend saw him motionless in the pool, facedown. At first, his friend thought Brayden was messing around. But as time passed he got nervous because he still wasn’t moving so he jumped in the pool. Brayden was unable to use any of his limbs but was fortunately conscious. He relayed to his friend that something was wrong. His friend was miraculously able to pull my 6-01 boy out the pool by himself and summons 911.
</div>

 While at the trauma center, X-rays and MRI’s revealed serious damage to his c5 and c6 with damage to his spinal cord. He has since had two very successful surgeries to stabilize the neck. His c5 was completely pulverized so it was removed and encaged. A spinal fusion was performed to hold it all intact.
</div>
<div>
 As we speak my son is partially paralyzed in his arms and has full paralysis of his legs. He is still on a ventilator but we are hoping and praying that he will be off of that today but that is not confirmed.
</div>
<div>
 He will have to be airlifted by air ambulance back to Southern California. This may take some time for the logistics. And we are not sure if he will go to Oahu first to start physical therapy or be directed straight to the states. All those conversations are going on behind the scene by hospital and insurance company.
</div>
<div>
 Some positive takeaways are that my son does not have any brain damage. His speech is fine and he is a fighter like his mama. With much needed prayer from all of our prayer warriors and a lot of hard work we will get my son back to functioning on his own one day. What that looks like, we don’t know but we are in it together.
</div>

 Needless to say, I will be out here for a while and will keep you posted on the progress we’re making on getting him back to the states.
</div>

<div>As some, if not most, of you know, I was diagnosed with cancer in March 2023. From the moment I received that diagnosis, I got to work fighting it without batting an eye. Since then, I’ve endured chemotherapy, surgery, more chemotherapy, radiation, additional surgeries, and countless hospital visits in between; aall in an effort to avoid what ultimately became inevitable.

<div>When I first learned of my diagnosis, my doctor explained that years ago, a case like mine would have resulted in an immediate amputation. At the time, I was the father of a one-year-old son, and all I could think about was what that would mean for my quality of life and my ability to be the father he deserved. Thankfully, my doctor believed limb salvage was a possibility, so we pursued every option available.

<div>I’d like to think I exhausted every path. Every treatment. Every medication. Every procedure. For nearly three years, I fought to keep my leg.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Today, that one-year-old boy is now a big brother, and I have two children depending on me. After much thought, prayer, and consultation with my medical team, I have made the difficult decision to move forward with an above-the-knee amputation of my right leg.

</div>

</div>

<div>I decided to amputate the source that keeps me up at night in hopes that I can finally free myself from a recurring nightmare. Rather than continue fighting a battle that has taken so much from me physically and mentally, I am choosing a path that gives me the best chance to move forward—not just for myself, but for my wife, my children, and the life we are building together.

</div>

<div>Most people who know me know I’ve taken this journey with my head held high. I’ve tried to stay positive, stay active, and keep showing up for my family, friends, clients, and community. But if I’m being completely honest, this part scares me the most.

</div>

<div>I’m scared of the unknown. I’m scared of the recovery. I’m scared of learning how to navigate the world differently. I’m scared of not being able to pick up my kids, chase them around the park, or be as present as I want to be during the months ahead.

</div>

<div>At the same time, I’m hopeful.

</div>

</div>

<div>I’m hopeful that this surgery will give me a chance to live without constant pain. I’m hopeful that it will allow me to finally move forward instead of living in fear of what comes next. Most importantly, I’m hopeful that I’ll get to watch my children grow up, continue loving my wife, and keep serving the communities and people who have given so much to me throughout my life.

<div>As I prepare for surgery and the long road of rehabilitation that follows, my wife and I have made the decision to prioritize my recovery and our family during this transition. I will be stepping away from work full time while I focus on healing, rehabilitation, and learning how to navigate life with a prosthetic. My wife will also be taking time away from work to help care for me and our two young children as we adjust to this new chapter.

<div>I’ve spoken with my insurance providers and have a general understanding of what will and will not be covered, but there are still many expenses that fall outside of that support. Funds raised will help offset costs related to physical therapy, prosthetic fitting and training, medical expenses, transportation, childcare, adaptive equipment, lost income, and the many unexpected challenges that come with rebuilding life after an amputation.

<div>Hello, my name is Shane Files and I am from Boy Scout Troop 491 of Glendora, CA. I am currently a Life Scout and working towards my Eagle Scout Rank, which is the highest rank in Boy Scouts/Scouting America. I have been a part of scouts since the age of 5. I started my scout adventure in the fall of 2014 as a Tiger (Lions did not exist at that time). I was part of Pack 491 and then in 5th grade, I earned my Arrow of Light (highest rank in Cub Scouts) and bridged over to Troop 491 in February 2019. In theory, I have been taking part in scouts since my older brother, Logan, started scouts in 2016.

<div>Part of my Eagle Scout requirement is to plan and execute a service project that benefits a school, church, or community. When St. Dorothy Catholic Church chartered my pack and troop, I used to help serve donuts monthly on Sundays after the masses. I also took part in Scout masses, whether I was bringing up the gifts, serving as an altar server, reading the prayer of the faithful, one of the readings, or even as the peace child. As a scout, I used to help clean up during the Oak Tree Festival at St. Dorothy School. In addition, I would help collect and distribute gifts to the needy through St. Dorothy Catholic School for Adopt a Family.

<div>St. Dorothy Catholic School and Church have been a part of my life since my family moved to Glendora in 2009. I attended St. Dorothy School from my kindergarten year in 2013 until I graduated in 8th grade in 2022. I was regularly active in school, whether it be in athletics, arts, music, and Student Council. I ended my final year as Student Council President. I was also continually active in the church, from being an altar server, in the choir, a cantor, and as a thurifer. St. Dorothy School and Church have an incredibly special place in my life, and that is why I decided to have my Eagle Project done there.

<div><strong>My project is to renovate the lunch tables and benches at Anyta Doyle Building.</strong> There are around 22 tables and 44 benches that will be a part of this project. We will also renovate 2 tables and 4 benches that are in the TK &amp; Kindergarten play area. My project will include sanding, varnishing, painting, and coating the tables so that they are fresh and clean for the students, and they will be safer for them as well. The parishioners at St. Dorothy also use these tables at certain events along with other scout troops. So, this will be beneficial to my former school, my current church, and the community. <strong>My goal is to start and complete my project this July.</strong>

<div>Currently, I am entering my senior year at Western Christian High School, where I am on the baseball team and I am also in their Honors Hilltop Choir. During my spare time, I act in plays with Theatre Experience of Southern California in both Claremont and Pasadena.

<div>I'm creating this go fund me on behalf of my dad Tony Vaughn who lost everything in the Palisades fire yesterday. He lost his home where he and his partner Anna live with their 7 year old son Thomas. All three lost everything. The storage facility where he keeps all of his tools for his work as a carpenter are gone as well, so he currently has no means to continue his work. He and my brother narrowly made it out in time, managing to help their neighbor evacuate as well. Along with all of this, two of his older children, my siblings, who live a few blocks away also lost their home and everything inside. Our family is in complete shock and absolutely devastated at this extreme loss of our family home, but are so grateful for their safety. Their sweet cat, Patchouli, and newly adopted rescue puppy, Tala, round out this family of love, spunk, and loyalty. Cheri Rich’s Funeral

<div>On Dec 2, TJ suffered a serious injury that could potentially affect his mobility in the future. Upon impact to the ground, TJ severely fractured his talus bone in his ankle. This type of injury is considered "catastrophic," or life-altering. With the amount of force to fracture the bone in multiple pieces, this type of damage is usually seen in high-speed collisions.

<div>Because of the high cost of surgery and care in the emergency room, the decision was made to cancel our wedding and recoup whatever money we could get within short notice.
</div>

</div>

<div>On December 8, 2023, the world lost Lori Michelle Smith: a faithful Christian, huge film buff, a lover of all things Disney, a foodie, the biggest Survivor fan ever, a phenomenal game player, a fun and silly soul, the best hugger, a best friend to many, a sweetheart of a sister and daughter, an exceptional and loving mother to Jackson (17) and Emma (15), and an amazing wife and soulmate of her husband, Andrew (her ‘Moon &amp; Stars’).

Her humor and lightheartedness truly gave us joy. Lori also had the unique gift of being able to bring people together and to serve friends and acquaintances alike. Her volunteerism was remarkable. She selflessly gave countless of hours to Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, local PTA and to her church, teaching Sunday school and vacation Bible school. Lori’s sudden absence leaves behind a gaping hole for those who knew her and loved her.

Bryce and Travis were visiting Noah Martinez (far left) at his new home in Las Vegas, NV celebrating Noah’s 18th birthday. As they were returning from a game of miniature golf, they were stopped waiting at a red light when another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction at a very high rate of speed hit them head on.  Travis and Noah were taken by ambulance, and Travis passed away shortly thereafter. Sanchez Family Support Fund

It is with a heavy heart that we set up this Go Fund Me account  to help Nino and Lisa Zagaroli cover the expenses of the unexpected passing of their sweet baby girl Layla Jimi Rose Zagaroli. <br /><br /><br />Layla was delivered on Friday, November 1st by an emergency C-Section, three weeks prior to her expected delivery date, due to decreased movement and heart rate. <br /><br /><br />She was then admitted to the NICU for further examination and testing. It was then that they realized sweet Layla was born with respiratory failure, anemia, and acidosis. She later developed kidney and liver failure and couldn’t overcome multiple critical issues. <br /><br /><br />On Thursday, November 7th, after almost a week of improvements and setbacks, God called upon a new angel in heaven, our sweet baby Layla. Nino, Lisa and Layla’s doctors did all they could to help save Layla and extend her life here on earth. Baby Layla Jimi Rose Zagaroli

My Mom, Lisa Radogna, was in a horrific seadoo accident on 4th of July at the Colorado River. She had just planned to take the seadoo over to the beach from the lagoon, but then decided she would give it a quick ride after getting it out on the water. The river was very low, and she was moving along fairly quickly to stay above the water, when she hit a sandbar. The steering column on the ski impaled her through her groin area and out near her hip area. This unforeseen accident will change my families life forever. It happened in an instant, and my Mom will have a long road to recovery. She has underwent many surgeries since 4th of July at Desert Regional Hospital in Palm Springs, where she was life-flighted from the river. She remains there recovering. She ran very high fevers initially, as the medical team was not able to get her pain medications under control, and then when they tried a different medication it made her vomit. She is starting to recover though. Our family is separated, and our day to day lifestyle that we were accustomed too has changed drastically. Tiffany and I are staying in Azusa, and traveling back and forth to the hospital every day, and my little sister, Mackenzie is staying with our Aunt and Uncle. I surprised my Mom with this gofundme, and she is very humbled and grateful for everyone's concern and kindness! <br /><br />As we weren't expecting such a serious and sudden injury to our Mom, we were not financially prepared. Our Mom will be off work for several months to recover, and will be hospitalized for at least another 2-3 weeks. Having dressing changes every other day while under anesthesia. Although, she has very good insurance, her hospital stay may put a burden on our financial situation, that is why I am asking for your help and support. If you are able to help financially with any amount, we would be so grateful. My stepdad, Tim has been by her side through this entire ordeal, but he will have to go back to work, and the vehicle gas fees traveling from Azusa to Palm Springs is quite a huge expense for all of us. Unfortunately, they celebrated their anniversary in the hospital this year, but by next year we hope that they will be able to enjoy their anniversary together, under much better circumstances.<br /><br />We will update my Mom's progress as she moves through her recovery. She is amazingly strong, as she was impaled and able to drive herself back to the beach to get help. Emergency services arrived and were so wonderful in getting her transported to the best trauma hospital that was closest to the River, she underwent immediate surgery and has had a wound vac on since the surgery. They have not been able to completely put her back together. The photos are very graphic and they represent the healing process that she will endure over the next several months. The injury is to her left leg from the groin area to the hip area. The first surgery performed was to remove her bathing suit which had been lodged into her body.<br /><br />If you can please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers we would be so appreciative.  All funds received will go directly to my Mom, to help with the financial burdens during her recovery. My name is Zach Cadima, and I am a Boy Scout from Troop 483.  I am raising money for an Eagle Scout project for a local middle school that will also benefit Glendora American Little League.  The project will be putting in a block wall to prevent run off from the hill.
