update I have edited this go fund me as my husband has now passed away as of 7/20/26. So now we are focusing on cremation and services expenses. Rip Donnie know more pain, no more suffering. I love and miss you tons… Hello, my name is Neva and I am starting this fund for my 57 year old non-mobile total bed-bound husband. He has been in and out of the hospital so much since September of last year. So last September he had 16 G.I. And Bowel bleeds, in which he needed 4 transfusions of blood. He was in mercy Springfield mo for the whole month minus 2 days. came home was home. In January of this year then ended up back in the same hospital from January until march for an invasive infection in his blood stream. in which march 5th he had multiple strokes at once and then 2 more on the 8th. He then became non-mobile and bed-bound. We got him a basic hospital bed, however it is the low end type and developed bed sores even though he was being turned often. Being bed ridden can be hard on someone in every manner physically and mentally. So now he has severe depression and anxiety and anger and all the feelings, understandable with his current situation. We got him few other medical items. However with only insurance being straight Missouri 7—Medicaid nothing added just that apparently it will not cover much of anything unless a person is hospice. Not even in home physical therapy of any sort. So we are stuck with him being in this state. Finally came home in March. Ended up back in there again for 26 days in June to July for osteomyelitis bone infection. So now he is bed ridden non-mobile and has a 24’’ hole in his lower spine where they did surgery and a colostomy bag. He ended back up in the hospital after he surgery due to the painful or the surgery. Turns out that it seems that the infection had spread to his brain. He was now having issues with his sugar bombing into the 30s to 50’s. Heart rate high, respiratory/oxygen lows 50/60s. We ended up putting hospice in the hospital and he passed away from it all on Monday 7/20/26. so now I am trying to just get him cremated and then I will need to travel back home to spread his ashes. ( Back home is Maryland). Any and All donations will go towards the bed I found on Amazon that can sit him up and turn him to be able to watch tv.. and are greatly appreciated.
