Nathan farewell

My husband was a fighter in every sense of the word. For two years, he battled heart failure and pneumonia, spending his last days in the hospital surrounded by family and love. Even in his hardest moments, he never lost faith in God or his devotion to our children. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need, and his kindness touched everyone who knew him. We were married for nine years, and every day with him was a blessing. This March has been especially hard for me. We celebrated our wedding anniversary on March 9th, and just days later, on March 20th, he passed away. Losing him in the month of our anniversary has made this heartbreak even deeper. He did not have life insurance, and now I am facing the overwhelming costs of his funeral. The expenses are more than I can manage alone, especially as I am also dealing with the closure of the local support program that helped my family. This has left me and my son at risk of eviction at the lowest point in our lives. On top of everything, my husband’s beloved service animal—his loyal companion and best friend—needs special care as he grows older. I want to honor my husband’s memory by caring for his dog and giving him the best farewell possible. Any support means the world to me and my family right now.
